    Just started 2 days ago, never had a problem with my headphones until now. So basically, my audio works fine, then the audio gets muted or i can’t hear it for like 15 seconds... then it gets reconnected. Not sure if its the controller, the xbox, or the
    headset...? Any suggestions on what to do? Idk if i can buy another pair of headphones or controller...

    If that doesnt work for you please try disconnecting your controller all together and then reconnect it to your Xbox. Then try and plug in the headset.

    Start off with this

    1. Go to settings

    2. Go to devices and streaming

    3. Go to accessories

    4. click on ...

    5. Click on firmware version

    6. It should start updating which should take just a few minutes

    Mic not working correctly

    I do know that intermittent disconnects can happen with the wireless controllers due to wifi interference, like my issue recently was my stealth 600 just randomly started to disconnect and reconnect and found out that my wifi settings on the router we causing
    it somehow but after setting it to auto and keeping my phone away from the xbox it seemed to fix the issue.

    Also you said that it worked on the wired controller but not the wireless, do you have a random pair of phone headphones that have a mic? if so can you plug it into the controller port on the wireless and see if you get the same issue?

    The static could be due to some sort of interference, but its really hard to tell.
