    My wired connection interferes with the Xbox startup


    So I was playing Outerwilds just fine all day. I stopped and played one match of Mass Effect 3 online and after the match I was booted from xbox live. My internet connection was still working so I turned the console off and then on again. After doing so the Xbox booted up to the Troubleshooter screen and anytime I pressed continue it went to a black screen. If I chose to reset while keeping the games it did nothing, the console would restart back to the troubleshooter. I unplugged the LAN cord and the console magically worked again. Plugged it back in and BOOM, right back to trouble shooter screen. Any advice?? Im over my head with this.

    Is your xbox connected wired or wireless?

    If you are connected wirelessly then try connected using Ethernet cable to rule out Wi-Fi interference.

    Hard wired or wireless? Its recomended you have a wired connection. If its wireless, make sure theres no interferance btw the xbox and the modem or router

    Have you tried a wired connection? Have the Xbox directly connect to the Internet router/modem/gateway with an ethernet cable.

    Wi-Fi signal may occasionally drop out due to interference and such. Let's try to rule out that possibility with a wired connection.
