    My wired 360 controller for PC


    So i recently bought Dark souls from steam and now i want to use my controller on my PC. I downloaded the driver and tried to update it, but my controller won't even connect. What do i do?

    Got it working YES!! My wired 360 controller for PC :D

    Must have been some sort of conflict with motionjoy or some other drivers that I had on the PC. Deleted a few of them, restarted and when I plugged it in it automatically recognised the controller and installed the drivers.

    No flashing lights, just the usual one for controller 1.

    Which USB port did you plug it into? Have you tried removing the Wireless Gaming Receiver and plugging your wired pad into the same USB port?

    My MadCatz 360 controller works with PC games, so yes third party wired controllers do work on the PC.

    To play on a PC with an Xbox 360 controller you need to get a wired controller. On Xbox 360 the "wire" is only used for charging on the wireless controller.

    Hi,

    When using this cable on a 360 it will allow you to continue to play while charging. It doesn't make the wireless 360 controller a wired controller, in fact the controller remains wireless.

    Hence, if you plug this into a 360 controller and a PC, it will just charge the battery - or power the controller if no battery is present. It won't make the controller wired. This is because the 360 wireless controller was only designed to be wireless.

    To use a 360 wireless controller on your PC, you'll need a 360 Game Receiver.

    The wired 360 controller for Windows can be used on any game that supports gaming controllers, not just Games for Windows titles. Even if your PC game doesn't support a controller you can always use a third party app on your computer like Xpadder.

    I use my 360 wired pad to play on emulators, as well as PC games.

    Hi,

    Both wired and wireless Xbox 360 controllers work on Windows 10. Wired is just plug and play while wireless controllers need a receiver. I know 360 controllers work as I've used them on my own gaming PC running the latest version of Win 10.
