My windows key randomly gets locked (Always on)

You can try cleaning your keyboard to see if maybe there's something inside the Fn or the Windows key that's interfering with the other key.

If maybe the issue persists you may need to get your keyboard inspected with a technician

If you use a companion, ALWAYS take keys. You can give them to the companion so you can pick locks but you'll also be able to get through doors you can't pick with no trouble going back to them.

tip get your lockpick skills up; unlock perk "wax key"

if a key exsist for the lock you'll get a copy when you pick it(EVERY LOCK THAT HAS A KEY TO IT,locks you can't pick you won't get a key).

join theives guild and buy every lock pick you can(1 at a time helps build up speech)

I had a thought, always a dangerous process did you try rattling the lock on the cage to see if that then allows you to take the key? Or don't rattle the lock and see if that does anything.

Keeping the key will get you into any chest that is locked, but if you have a good collection of picks, it shouldn't matter. This lockpick system is much easier than Oblivion, so I greatly prefer it. I have about 70+ picks, and they keep growing because
I hardly break them.

One recommendation I could throw you is, if you have a companion traveling with you, make them carry the skeleton key. This way, you can pick all the locks you want, and if you run out of picks, you can always grab the key from them to open the chests you
couldn't get into.
