I have also noticed that my rank should have been higher than vip2, It goes $300,$600,$900,$1200 etc.etc.

Your program states that in game content, consumables, dlc, games, games on demand, basically everything qualifys but Microsoft points and gift cards plus it has to be b4 tax.

So I went thru my history from January 1 2017 thru December 31 2017 and calculated how much I spent with my money and Microsoft Money I was shocked to see how much I spent on my xbox, I spent $199.24 with microsoft money, b4 tax $1155.17 cash with tax $1228.91
on everything from games to dlc and in-game consumables and other stuff, if I could have gotten my far cry stuff sooner it would've been over $1200 I spent for the entire year.

So why is my star rank in such an error, If it was right according to the program I should've been earning a lot more back and definitely been a higher rank then what I am, you r fixing to change the ranking system for the new year and the rank the rank
for the new year goes by the previous year on what rank you start at.

I hope it can get fixed or resolved b4 the reset

We will not be recalibrating your MyVIP rank at the end of this year, so no need to worry about your current spend! You will maintain your current five star rank after the new year. However, if you are interested for academic reasons, we see that

My VIP star rank has been just past level 2 for a year maybe 2. Even if it resets at beginning of year, it should have gone higher. I have spent hundreds of dollars on games on xbox live. i've even checked in august before i bought destiny and then forza
and then just now. has not moved. why is it not going any higher?

 

Support will double check for you, but some of the things you mention as qualifying, don't actually qualify. Subscriptions, in game consumables, and preorders do not count towards VIP.

As stated in the FAQ, pre-orders, in-game consumables, and subscriptions are not eligible for MyVIP:

What content can I earn a % back on purchases for?

Normally, most purchases for Xbox 360 and Xbox One from the Xbox Store qualify towards your MyVIP Star Rank and % back on purchases, including full Games on Demand titles (excluding game pre-orders), arcade games, indie games, game add-ons, game Season Passes,
movies, TV shows, TV seasons, themes and avatar items. In-game consumables, Xbox Live Gold memberships, subscriptions like EA Access and Xbox Game Pass, Groove Music Passes, Microsoft Movies & TV Season Passes, and the purchase or redemption of Microsoft Points
or Xbox Gift Cards, still do not qualify.

We see that your current progress is accurate after the last yearly calibration that took place in January 2017. Also, please note that as stated in the sticky on this forum, there is no calibration this year.
