  1. My USB 3.0 driver meets all requirements but is too slow?

I have spoke to 5+ support agents/xbox experts already. How is my device too slow? It is USB 3.0 and 256GB in size. I have tried it in different formats as well including: factory, MS-DOS (FAT), MS-DOS (FAT32), and NTFS. None have worked, I have given up.
Fix your requirements for USB 3.0 devices, I never read anything about speeds. I would have spent my money on something else. I play one game on xbox everyone, it is PUBG! I bought this for the only game I play and xbox and it fails due to a poorly wrote requirement
    by someone working for Microsoft.

Thanks to anyone who has some advice/tips etc

    :)

Firstly, why not just have PUBG stored on your console, as opposed to an external storage device? (unless of course you are moving it) Have you tried simply downloading the game to your console from the store, or a disc?

Just make sure your device is inserted correctly, and if it is a portable Hard Drive are you able to try a different connecting cable?
It runs way better with a HDD as the load in times are terrible. Especially if you have the original (OG) xbox like myself. Only reason I ever bought one in the first place.

Hi, are you using a thumb stick or an actual HDD. Thumb sticks are slower than an HDD. You also don't state what you are trying to use it for.

    Hey there Red Death!

Sorry to hear that you're having problems connecting your new external harddrive.

I would say that if you're getting that error, to either try another USB slot on the console or try a soft reset while the storage is disconnected. The console has a couple of slots and a soft reset is a reset
of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues.

Just make sure that before you go ahead with it, that you do know all of the sign-in information for any/all of your accounts(asthey
will be removed) and have easy access to your internet network.

Also make sure that you select the option denoted
reset and keep my games and apps.

    Follow the steps here on
How to reset your console to factory defaults on Xbox One
and let us know how that helps with the issue

    Thanks
A support tech from Microsoft told me to do this and upon resetting it ended up frying my controller and headset. I highly do not recommend this method. I was insisted to go to a local store from a Microsoft Manager and test to see if both work since I did
not know anyone locally with an xbox. Suggested a repair for my console, was told she would follow up through email and never did. Same with another tech, no follow up email anywhere to be seen. After spending at least 20+ hours through chats and calls with
Microsoft support I finally decided to go out and buy brand new gear. Worked right away, the fact my headset and controller crapped themselves upon the reset is beyond frustrating. Turns out I'm not the only one after running a quick search on google. I also
lost all my DVR which I asked twice if the tech could please take his time to look through his resources and make sure he was 110% sure I would not loose any of it. I did in fact loose all my DVR which was 99% full. I'm missing a few legendary clips not uploaded
to xbox live that I was saving for an upcoming clip montage I would then upload to the community. I have been a proud supported of Xbox Live for 10 years but what I dealt with regarding this situation it had me so angered towards Microsoft. All unanswered
questions, no resolutions, you guys really just left me in the dust. I asked for a $10.00 refund for a month of gold and they would not even honor that. Last refund I ever got was in 2015 for Destiny DLC pack. Pathetic how much you guys have changed. Xbox
use to be #1 but recently no way, I can not even use my PC headset on here because no USB support. But mouse and keyboard gets added which requires USB support. Force us to buy your products is a big let down, turn out Sony lets you use any headset you want
and does support USB headsets. I hope in the near future this is possible for all of the Xbox community as I'm sure many play on multiple consoles and would love to use their expensive high end PC headset.

My USB 3.0 driver meets all requirements but is too slow?

Some thumb drives are manufactured with very slow memory, so even though the interface is USB 3.0 the drive itself can be very slow. For thumb drives, if it seems like too good of a deal, it probably is.
