My TV screen is stretched after Xbox update

May I know if you’re using an insider build in your console?
Also, please tell me what’s your OS and Shell version

For this go to Settings > System > Console info.

the OS version says is 10.0.22621.2859 and Shell Version is 2211.0.2211.10001 and I’m not sure what an insider build is

it seems that you’re not using the latest update. Today a new one was released, please check if it’s already installed in your Xbox via settings > system > updates

If the update option is available please perform it.
Once done check if the issue has been solved.

If not power cycle the console one more time:
1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.
2. Unplug the console's power cable from the console and from the power outlet. Wait 5 minutes.
Important: Be sure to wait at least 5 minutes. This step resets the power supply.
3. Plug the console power cable back in.
4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

After that, connect the HDMI cord to a different port in your TV and try again

is it possible something changed on the tv instead of the xbox ? "pillar box" and "stretch to fit" setting on my tv will do that ....or maybe the game "forgot" the game settings , at the start where you "move the arrows" to fill up the screen?

You can try one other thing while watching TV through your Xbox One. When you have the TV up and running in full screen, hit the button with the three lines (formerly the Start button). Change the screen setting to Stretch. This should do what you need
it to.

Note: if your cable box and/or tv are also doing stretching or size adjustment, you may need to experiment.
