My TV screen is black upon start-up, but sound can be heard.

Ever since the latest "March update," whenever I turn my Xbox One on, my TV turns on, sound can be heard, but the screen is just black and shows nothing. I have a Vizio TV, and when I turn it on it should show a VIZIO logo, but now it doesn't. The light
at the bottom of the TV lights up, but the rest of the TV stays completely black. To solve this, I have just been unplugging my TV from the outlet and plugging it back in and it works. I'm wondering if anyone has a solution to this problem. Any help would
    be appreciated. Thanks.

    :)

    BF:BC2 disc not working right.

Whenever I put Bad Company 2 into my Xbox, the start screen comes up, I press start and my TV goes black and nothing happens except a Xbox menu/error/update sound is heard but no update/error message comes up. Can someone help?

  3. Black Screen Upon Start Up

    Hey, Radical!

Sorry to see any issues you are running into. It sounds like your console just needs to be reset every few days. Having the console set to Instant On is like having your PC in sleep mode; once it starts to get sluggish, you normally restart your PC, right?
    Same situation.

The best way to avoid this scenario, besides having it set to Energy Saving mode, is to make sure your console is plugged into the wall directly instead of any surge protectors or extension cables. If that doesn't help you out, you can give this

    troubleshooter page
a shot. Most of it is really basic stuff, but test out the things you haven't done yet, then get back to us on how that works! My TV screen is black upon start-up, but sound can be heard. :)

The Vizio logo is completely independent on its own upon boot up and would have nothing to do with the XBOXONE or anything else connected to it. I would suggest that you make sure your TV is current on firmware. Second, I would factory reset your Vizio to
factory settings. Third, if the above doesn't fix the issue you should then call Vizio to explain your situation. Hopefully the set is under warranty still. My first guess is there is something going on with your Mother Board in the TV, hence why when you
unplug it begins to work again albeit temporary. Good Luck!!
