I managed to narrow down my static problem as specific as possible. The sound is absolutely perfect with no static unless I plug in the Xbox One Play & Charge Kit cable while I am playing. Without the Xbox One Play & Charge Kit cable plugged in, the headset
works perfect, the mic works perfect, the Stereo Headset Adapter works perfect, and the audio had no static at all. The static issue starts as soon as I plug the controller into the console with the Xbox One Play & Charge Kit cable.

Any tips on how to fix this? Or if not, is there a fix eventually coming in the future?

    :)

Turtle Beach Earforce X12 makes continuous buzzing sound with stereo headset adapter/xbox one controller

I purchased the xbox one stereo headset adapter so that I could use my turtle beach earforce X12 headset on the xbox one. I checked the compatibility page and the earforce x12 was compatible with the stereo adapter. When my xbox one controller is plugged
into the xbox one via usb cable (no batteries or battery pack) and my turtle beach headset is plugged into the controller (via the stereo headset adapter), I get a constant buzzing noise in the headset like there is interference or something. If I connect
the controller to the xbox one without the usb cord (using battery power), there is no buzzing sound and the headset works fine. I just really don’t want to have to keep buying batteries and/or get a battery pack so I was hoping there is a way to power the
controller with just a usb cable (no batteries/battery pack) that doesn’t involve plugging it into the xbox one system directly since this appears to cause some interference and the buzzing sound. The same thing would happen on my xbox 360, but all I had to
do to fix it was plug the controller (using the plug and play cord only, no battery pack) into a usb outlet in the wall so that the headset and controller weren’t being powered off of the xbox 360 (I also tried plugging the headset into a usb outlet and leaving
the controller plugged into the xbox but I still had the buzzing noise if I did it that way). If I try this method on the xbox one, the contoller won’t power on when plugged into a usb wall outlet. Is there any way to get the controller to power on when it
is plugged into a usb wall outlet?

Here is what I did to hook the headset up to the xbox one in the first place:

I hooked up the stereo headset adapter and updated my xbox one controller. I then used the following instructions to hook up my turtle beach headset:

    1. hooked the stereo adapter into the controller,

    2. attached the 2.5mm-3.5mm cord adapter into the stereo adapter,

    3. plugged my turtle beach headset cord into the 2.5mm-3.5mm cord adapter,

    4. plugged the audio cord on the headset into the audio out on the monitor,

    5. plugged the headset usb power cord into the xbox.

XBOX ONE Stereo Headset Static Post March patch...... Does it happen to you?

Finally got a DSS2 so I can use my X12s on my Xbox One. I have everything plugged in correctly and the sound is perfect when I do not have the chat cable plugged into the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter, but as soon as I plug it in, there is a horrible static
noise. I tested the sound on my Xbox 360, and the sound is perfect even with the chat cable plugged into the controller. The problem is definitely the Stereo Headset Adapter. The noise is so bad I went to the internet to find a fix only to see hundreds of
people are having the exact same problem with no fix in sight.

Used my brothers brand new Turtle Beach DXL1 headset with my two week old Xbox One and same problem happens. I always play with wired controllers (deceases input lag), so I used the Play & Charge kit cable (a week old) for my Xbox One wireless controller
(two weeks old) every single time I play, which I plug into the back bottom USB slot. (When I use the Play & Charge cable to play, the data transfers over the cable like a wired controller, right?? I remember reading that somewhere) I plug my DXL1 headset
into the DSS2 Surround Sound Processor (both brand new), which plugs into the back top USB slot of my Xbox One. I also love to use chat, however, when I plug in the DXL1 chat cable into the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter (also brand new) on my controller,
there is an insane amount of static and white noise through headset speakers. When I unplug the mic, most of the static goes away. If I keep the mic plugged in, but I unplug the Play & Charge kit, then some of the static goes away. What it pretty much comes
down to is I can either choose between having both chat and wired controller but insane static noise, having chat with a wireless controller with less static noise, having a wired controller with no chat with even less static noise, or having a wireless controller
with no chat an having next to nothing of static noise.

When I have both the headset and controller plugged into my Xbox One, am I overloading the power source which is causing the static? Maybe the One cannot handle multiple things plugged into it at the same time (DXL1 Headset + Xbox One Controller)... Or maybe
it is the controller that cannot handle two things plugged into it at the same time (Play & Charge + Stereo Headset Adapter w/ mic). I tried plugging in the DXL1 Headset into my USB Samsung Galaxy Note 3 charger that plugs into the wall outlets instead of
my Xbox One and that seems to mitigate the problem a little bit. Only a little bit though.

I'm going to try another USB to micro-USB cable to use on my controller instead of the Play & Charge cable to see if that will help. If not, then I guess I'll just play with a wireless controller + chat, and charge the controller when I'm not playing. I
don't think the input lag with wireless is that severe, or is it?

Any tips, fixes, suggestions, comments are welcome please, thank you. :-]

I have a new xbox one stereo headset, and there is occasional sound glitches and subtle but noticeable popping or crackling at certain scenarios in a game. Would the problem be fixed with an eventual patch or do I have a faulty headset?

To the user above I just bought a Turtle beach XO X4's and i have the same problem when they are plugged into my One. They have no issue when plugged into my laptop so it probably isn't the headset itself.

ok guys i actually figured out how to fix this. Its really stupid but it works. ok so when i plug my astro mixamp usb into a wall outlet the static noise will go away(you need a phone charger that plugs into a wall outlet and then plug the mixamp usb into
that). also make sure you take the batteries out of your controller. problem solved

  10. Not sure if this is being addressed elsewhere but I have the Nyko rechargeables. Well in the middle of the game when I don't have time to switch them I have to plug the mini usb in really quick. If I plug it into the battery, I get this constant beeping
type noise which is infuriating and if I plug it directly into the controller, I hear sound but nothing from the game. Assuming there has still been no fix for this. I don't understand how it would cause a sound mess up when all its doing is just charging
    a battery.

  12. Hey guys just bought the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter at Walmart today. I have the OEM play and charge kit made by Microsoft. I am using my Turtle Beach X12 headset with the adapter and I am getting the same buzzing ringing noise in my chat audio. I have
already tried plugging both the p and c cable into a ac usb adapter and tried plugging in the turtle beaches into a ac usb adapter. both times they were separate power supplies, and I also tried having the turtle beach usb plugged into my pc and the p and
c cable into the xbox or a ac usb port and vise versa. Neither worked. THE PROBLEM IS THE PLAY AND CHARGE!! If you unplug the play and charge cable it will work fine but if it is plugged in it is a no go. I will be returning immediately and purchasing the
Turtle Beach XO Four Stealth model(basically the equivalent to the x12. I originally bought the xo ones, for $70, hated them returned them then I bought the adapter and know this issue who knows how long it will take to fix so I will be returning it and using
a $10 off coupon on the $100 Turtle Beach XO Four Stealths for $90 which is $20 more than I was going to pay for the XO Ones.

People in my parties say my XBox One mic is making "static" noises

G'day all! For those referring to the standard chat headset, are you still experiencing this crackling noise?

Tripzy: I'm afraid I don't see the X12 headset listed as compatible with Xbox One on the Turtle Beach website. If you have a compatible headset, can you please give that a try and see if the static continues? For help with the X12s, you

    Need Help With Headset

    Hello, there!

I've used alot of different headsets (Turtle Beaches, Astros, Tritons, Microsoft), and for Halo and CoD, I'd reccomend buying Turtle Beaches. I'm not sure about Forza, as I don't have much experience in that game (And by that, I mean none at all), but
my experience with FPSs, Turtle Beaches are best for quality and price. XP500s are incredible, but I'd recommend getting Turtle Beach X42s. They're $160 USD, Have great specs, and a reasonable price. If you can't afford X42, X32s will work just fine.
