My thread about wanting a refund got locked.

It's the same policy as steam

And people already been denied after 2hours or less playtime someone once mentioned over 1hour and a half

Where have you been farscape multiple threads mentioned this as denial reason

Keep in mind this includes ingame time

Keep in mind they are up dating the refund policy probably going to be a couple weeks yet due to a CMA requirement and yes its a global change but the changes are here but they are still updating the references

Maybe...but the difference is that Steam state that it is 2 hours (thought it was 3) on their system....Microsoft (as Farscape was pointing out) do not state 2 hours anywhere at all on their system. The 2 hour play time limit presumption is based on what was stated when they first released self-refunds to Insiders back in 2018..all reference to 2 hours was then removed for the global release.

I am not a lawyer but, from a legal standpoint, I imagine they would have a hard time if taken to court without something somewhere stating the playtime limits....after all what constitutes "Requests are for games in which you haven’t accumulated a significant amount of play time". From my point of view, significant depends on the game in question...some short games, 2 hours is significant. Something like Mass Effect Legendary Edition, 2 hours in not significant when considering it can take 100 hours+ to complete all 3 games and it's a slow burner so may take longer than 2 hours to decide if you like it. But it doesn't matter as "2 hours" is not explicitly stated anywhere...Microsoft seem to have left it deliberately vague..after all, they could then argue that 30 minutes of playtime is significant.

but if it does not state this in the terms then it is not legal, steams states in the terms.

in the uk they could not deny due to that reason as it is clearly not stated in the terms, in the UK the law overrides Microsoft policies anyway. if a game/software is seen as unfit or not working correctly then they have a period of time to sort it, if not then a partial or full refund can be made.

It was locked because the thread was created three months ago, December 5, 2021. You then revived it yesterday. Hence the reason for the lock.

Looking at that old thread, you wanted a refund. Unfortunately this is a community forum, we can only offer advice. If you didn't receive an email regarding a rejected refund request, your only recourse is to contact support directly.

just a note, that the playtime of 2 hours is not mentioned in any of Microsoft terms and conditions at all.

The game is still fundamentally broken especially for online play with friends.

Well if you read your previous thread the moderator wouldve.posted a reason

Creating multiple threats on the same subject is against the rules if you created multiple threads check the previous thread which probably mentioned why and any solution if you played over 2 hours it is considered played
