My tenure is wrong

I joined Xbox Live in September 2009 which means my tenure should say 6 years this September, but it only changed to 5 years a few weeks ago when it should have changed to 5 years to last September. Does anyone know why my tenure has been changing very late?

My Tenure is wrong

Hello,

My tenure on my Xbox One is showing up as 9 years, but I have been a paying Xbox Live Gold member since day 1, all the way back in 2002 with the launch of Unreal Championship. I have had the account continuously throughout that time frame, with no gaps in
service. My gamertag is . I also received the 10 year member gamer pic a couple years ago which I have attached to my account, so I think there must be some sort of error.

My Tenure is wrong

Hi are you aware of the new recalculation, the sticky ironman posted has it in there, but in short, the tenure is now calculated by full year gold membership only, silver membership no longer counts. So for example in my case I have been a member for 10
years have paid for 4 years worth of gold. However I have not yet finished my 4th year of gold subscription, so my tenure correctly shows 3 years.

Have you ever been a silver member in those 6 years? if you have then it doesn't count.

Xbox has been a little bit glitchy for some reason. The updating for Xbox is slow sometimes, but I would have asked the same question as ImDrunky did.

Yeah, tenure is only calculated when you are GOLD, any periods as a silver member do not count.

Ah right I understand now didn't know the periods when I was silver didn't count. Thanks for the replies.

That did happen to me in the past, but in those cases no tenure showed at all for a while. Now my tenure does show, but it is wrong, and it's been wrong for over a month now.

The tenure counter on Xbox Live appears to have some issues affecting random users, it's something that's being looked into by Xbox Support (see here: forums.xbox.com/.../441105.aspx). Follow that link, there's a handful of troubleshooting steps you can
try to see if it'll revert to your correct tenure.

Remember Tenure increases every time a full 12 months of Xbox Live Gold time have elapsed on the account. Also, being Silver will not cancel the Gold time acquired, but tenure will not increase until Gold time has been added
again.

if you haven't yet, please try the following steps:

Delete your PROFILE ONLY from your console
Power down your Xbox one console
Give your console a little breather! Wait 30 or so minutes and power your console back on.
Re-download your profile

IronmanX3, yes I have tried all the steps posted by
Miss Kleo It did not work. And I have had Gold since before it was Gold, when it was just Xbox Live. I can't remember when, but I believe I have been a member since December 2002. (You'd think I'd have contacts being a member this long...or a least
someone up there would care!)

Matt, that likely doesn't pertain to him if he's on ten years of tenure. Heck, I've been on XBL non-stop since it was made available back on the original XBox, and my tenure is still broken and has not been resolved, and I've been waiting months for support
to fix this error.

Plus, there wasn't Gold/Silver on the original XBox--there was *just* XBox Live. Those accounts *transferred* into Gold, and should be part of tenure, but they're not showing up for a lot of people still.

In short, this is still broken and defective for folks, no matter how many sticky posts are put up.
