Hello, I would just like to talk about my opinion
on this game. I'm not sure why it gets so much hate, after all it's their first MMORPG. I'm used to the MMORPG scene, and see nothing wrong with the game. They're working hard, and updating it. I expected it to be buggy, p2p, and have
microtransactions because most games of this scale don't ship perfectly, and take time (and money) to master, fix, and add content.. I'm sure in a few years, we will be rejoicing we kept playing this game, and supporting it. It may very well be
f2p some-time in the future when they are done updating it, and working on something else. My overall opinion is that this game was fun, and enjoyable for me and my friends. I had a great experience, and can't wait to see what comes next. My take on E.S.O. Offer your own thoughts! :)

-I'll be picking this up for Xbox One as well. Looking forward to it.

Anyway, I get that the important part is our feedback, opinions, and ideas. What are your opinions, criticisms, and ideas on how to improve Elder Scrolls Online? Will you be getting it for Xbox One? Please elaborate. My take on E.S.O. Offer your own thoughts! :)

    :)

I'll be getting it on Xbox One as long as it stays pay to play. I've never ever played a free to play MMO that didn't suck because it was F2P. If it comes to console as a free to play, I will end up skipping it. (Not going to get into why Free to Play model
    sucks, lol)

Hopefully this will be the console MMO i've been waiting for. Because I have wanted a console MMO on xbox for quite a while and Defiance was a hilarious disappointment.

Really hope Microsoft can work out whatever issues they are having with allowing Final Fantasy 14 on Xbox, because I had a lot of fun with the beta on PS4 and would LOVE to play it on Xbox.

  5. IF they release a quality game I will be joining you all as well.

My PC subscriptions expires next week....I ended up with a few pre-paid cards for Birthday and Father's day (Thanks family).

I've had a decent experience playing levels 1- 49 on two different factions and often felt this was just a step away from a BETA. I say that as I've yet to play more than 30 minutes without errors and crashing which their service teams cannot seem to resolve
but errors that were not in BETA but which were introduced on patch 1.2...

As of today those errors still exist.

The game drastically lacks a competent end game progression and there is very little content for endgame so perhaps a $5/monthly cost is more appropriate for the console versions.

Not looking for a F2P game as I enjoyed MMORPG P2P since 1997, but this is now a pass for me on PC at least.

I'm also not pleased to pay $20 to transfer my PC players to console...give me a free 30 days to try it on console and if I want to stay then charge me $20.

If you are confused why this game gets so much hate lets point out a few reasons

    1. Storyline bugs since beta, there's nothing like standing around a storyline check point wondering where the mini boss is or where the character is to interact with. While this is usually fixed with a log in/out cycle sometimes it is not....not many people
i know like this type of broken feature in the game.

    2. Phase issues. It would be nice to actually play with people, instead of walking in a dungeon only to find out that because we are at different stages that we can not complete some story lines or dungeons together.

    3. Total character imbalance. The play as you want to play is simple not the case...if you PVP then you almost have to play a light armor staff wielding character. While there are some other classes that offer some survivability they simply get owned in
what was supposed to be balanced game.

    4. The crappy Vet system and what they did to extend the game....basically you get to lvl 50 and then you get to go back to lvl 1 of a different faction and play all over again. It is like making 50 levels in a game but it is 150....just because you rinse
and repeat the same stories over again.

    5. The lack of loot and thrill of always improving. VET 12 gear is only slightly better then Vet 5 gear and both of those can be made by anyone. Those self made gears are much better then anything you can find in the game....so no boss chests will drop anything
any better then what you can make.

    6. Crashes and memory leaks, while some people say that is to be expected...it shouldn't be. There is no reason a memory leak that crashes your PC or burns your video card up should be allowed in the game with no signs of improving, they do add hot fixes
but still have not been able to really solve this issue.

    7. Each new addition of content either is bugged and usually causes bugs in other parts of the game.

    8. The poor character balance made them nerf content, instead of fixing the issue

    9. All new content that even looks remotely fun is at least 4-6 months away thats $60 to play to wait for something better to come out

    10. THe poor grouping system...They force you to play has group and release group content but again the phasing and poor design make it take hours to find a group, then after that if you are not a light armor staff wielding player chances are you get kicked
    out of the group.

    11. Zenimax in general makes promises and then falls short on delivery, Sure if you like to be strung along and keep paying, of course you will be defending your reasons for staying. But the truth is that several content features that they talked about coming
soon are still far far away. There only real release on content was craglorn, and that only was appealing to about 45% of players, because that entire area FORCED you to group in a 4 man team. But again unless you are what the group is looking for (light armor
staff wielder) it is almost impossible to group in that area. I myself never liked waiting for 15-30-45 mins to find a group...

those are just a few issues on why ESO gets so much hate, if you haven't been to the ESO forums and read all the complaints then you really should.

I think what makes people (like me) even more upset is that I paid full price for a game and with in 3 months of release you could buy it for 1/2 price on steam (which they said was not going to be supported before console release) and then if you look at
it I have spent another $60 for crappy content updates that really didn't appeal to me. thats at least $120 on a game that is not worth it.

If Consoles launch at full price and a sub fee, i really don't see this as being anything more then a 30 day time killer between better titles.

yup your hit it 100% correct.

  8. My take on E.S.O. Offer your own thoughts!

Wether i get this game or not depends on what i hear about it between now and release

Ive played the ES games since morrowind. I liked morrowind, i enjoyed oblivion and i LOVED! Skyrim in fact i still play skyrim from time to time and im hoping like hell that it comes out on x1 in some way, shape or form.

But from what ive heard about the PC version its not looking good. From what ive heard its basically a world of warcraft clone and its lost a lot of the immersion and depth that made its predesessors so successful ( not to mention the points that elad elaborated
    on )

Now as memory serves ES online was slated for console release in june but was pushed back to november. Id like to think its because they have seen what happened with the PC version and are looking at fixing it for the console players but i guess only time
will tell how this pans out

  9. UnearthlyTex360,

First, this game is nothing like any Elder Scrolls game. A company is taking the name and story but have made a completely different game with no likeness other than a fabricated story using race, regions and few concepts. DO NOT BUY IF YOU"RE EXPECTING
    AN ELDER SCROLLS GAME.

Second, this game should be viewed as a Guildwars 2 or World Of Warcraft type of game but by design it has the capability to work on the console.

Third, subscription is required along with XBL Gold subscription. Personally I think the current quality of the PC game does not warrant a $15/month subscription but rather a $5/month subscription.

Honestly, the game subscription should be completely scrapped and replaced with DLC every 3 months.

The console model will accept and readily adapt to paying $5 - $15 for each piece of DLC or using a "Season Pass" model which is less than $15/month but it draws in more potential customers so the companies profits are exactly the same.

I just thought to say all of this so that anyone who comes by doesn't jump in with one expectation and get blindsided.

    MY TWO CENTS....

If the game is not 1080p at 30FPS you would also be advised not to buy as anything less will not show well on a game where lots of time will be spent looking at or for things with some fighting but its best as a social game.

On my PC it looks VERY nice at 900p and my co-workers plays well at 1080p as we are both on 42 - 55 inch LED TV's. I have since cancelled my subscription due to unfixed errors and crashes that have gone unfixed for over 90 days.

After my long history with MMO games, pay to play games are generally a better experience. EQ2 was superior to WoW, but when it went to either pay to play or the free version micro (your choice) it went downhill.

I haven't played a console MMO since EQOA was cancelled, so I am giving it some thought. I would rather sit comfortably in the family room than at my computer...

  11. A few people here have really hot on all the problems with the PC version, and it's not just a matter of, "well all new releases have bugs." The actual number of bugs has been infuriating, and that's on top of broken systems and half-thought out ideas. Just
    a few thoughts:

    1) looking forward to AvA? Well let's start with how utterly generic they've made the map. The keeps are basically empty and there's no real incentive to hold anything, plus you will end up fighting most every battle at one of the same three locations. AvA
is supposed to be group vs group-- guild vs guild-- but all of the rewards are based around the alliance point system, which just leads to endless point farming. And none of this is changing.

    2) as many people have said, if you're interested in playing this game because you've enjoyed elder scrolls in the past, save your money. It's not an elder scrolls game, as far as progression and game play is actually far more of the generic theme park MMO
experience. The map is broken into zones that are leveled, and the entire progression is linear. And ultimately it is less about exploring and more about farming for rare drops. It's just not an elder scrolls game, and don't expect it to be one.

    3) the entire redesign, introducing the champion system etc, is largely about being able to remarket it for console release and try to build up hype-- without having to rely on the reviews and comments so far. You can even see that in their comments, referring
to it as basically a brand new game. Except it's really not. Champion is basically a stripped down copy of the legacy system from SWTOR, but the actual end game content and experience hasn't changed at all. That's still the same boring grind everyone complained
about. All they're essentially changing is how fast you progress from there, it's much slower now.

    4) especially with introducing so many new elements, don't expect it to be bug free despite the long delay. Hell, they've not even fixed all the bugs from the original release. And there are still a laundry list of broken mechanics. Not to mention the classes
and builds are still terribly unbalanced-- sure you can build how you like, but if you actually want to survive and win you're limited to just a few, all using the same 4-5 skills.

The bottom line is that it's been disappointing from the start, and they've not only been slow to fix many or these things, but largely unwilling to acknowledge a lot of it as well-- likely because they don't want to risk console sales. But, the game veered
far from the ES titles it was based on to the point it lost a lot of the ES fans they were hoping to attract. And as far as the MMO crowd, they've been largely turned off because of the endless stream of bugs and problems. It's just not a game I'd really endorse
    very much at this point.

There are going to be people saying, "well we should wait and see with all the changes they're making," well that's exactly the point of them doing all those changes. Because otherwise all they've got to sell it on is the PC performance, and that hasn't
exactly been awesome. And frankly I don't understand that thinking anyway. I mean if someone builds a crappy house, are you going to buy their next one before you've seen it simply because, "well we don't know yet so I'll give it a try?"

  13. My take on E.S.O. Offer your own thoughts!

    Updated-

If I can, I'll update my take as of my active sub to test PTS 1.6 which seems to be what the console release will consist of.

    The good:

-For $60 there are days of questing. Honestly it'll take at least 30-60 days to complete all three factions.

    -the subscription was removed

-The efforts of one character gaining VR levels create Champion points for all characters

-The game visually looks awesome even on a older gaming laptop 4-5 years old.

-huge maps with chat interactions via in game mic.

    -Mounts are shared and pets

    The bad:

-First off, if the game releases with VR levels, you're wise to be cautious

-The community is full of PC elitist but there are some normal good ppl around too.

-The game lacks end game content. Crag lorn doesn't really begin until VR10 so until then...you'll keep playing other factions from VR1-10 as exp changes and difficulty prevent grinding efficiently.

-The LFG tool is broken on PC and doesn't work at all

-There is a lack of clarity about the crown store

-expect the servers to be down twice a week for more than 3 hours each day.

-early pc adopters can copy their account to the console (unclear process/benefits)

-Many bugs still exist (tons were removed)

-Expansions are set to scale to the player vs. Adding more endgame content

-There is a strong level of distrust between the developers and the long standing subscribers.

In the end, but the game for the single player and co-op fun.

Do not buy hoping for endgame fun.

AND keep watching their live Twitch information sessions to see what to expect in June-August

  14. -early pc adopters can copy their account to the console (unclear process/benefits)

If a copy of the Pc game was registered before June 30 (I think) than for $20 transfer fee your game - as it is when you transfer - will be copied exactly to the console of your choice. Your PC version will still exist and can be played as well but progress
in each version will be separate. Thus you can play with pc friends you have now and also play with new friends on either but not both consoles (supposing you have both consoles).

The benefits are that you preserve all progress made so far and you gain a pretty hefty bag of crowns to spend from your subscription.

Many have expressed unhappiness with the perceived advantage of transferred characters but I can't see it myself. Players who rush to end game will have caught up pretty fast and I would think that having to fight higher level players in PvP would add to
the challenge. That's not me but I don't really see what the fuss is about.

  15. ^ It would be nice if ZOS confirms how the $20 game actually applies.

i know some who are all over disc games and who do not buy digital.

There are those who love the collectors edition of the game in box form

There is a post here if they choose to answer which SHOULD help clear up some confusion.

    forums.elderscrollsonline.com/.../zos-console-20-question-digital-vs-box

All the fuss about character transfers:

Well it wasn't a big deal back in June 2014 but now its a big deal.

Anyone whose account is eligible will have been playing for a few months and then get to play from March to June.

Basically they will have a huge advantage which tends to cause elitism in games like this....but maybe I'm wrong.
