My Sync Button Is Broken, Can I use an Adapter?

So I bought a second hand Xbox about 2 years ago, and its working perfectly, aside from the fact it has a faulty RF board. I know it is the board, as it works occasionally for around 2 minutes, before disconnecting entirely and now working again. So would I be able to use a wireless adapter and plug that into the xbox? Or would i have to replace the board entirely?

Edit: I am also thinking about getting an elite controller, and idk if its worth it if I cant have it wireless.

It would most likely be necessary to replace the wireless hardware for your console, knowing exactly what has to be replaced. It isn't possible to purchase a wireless adapter and plug it into the Xbox, sadly.

i think what your saying is that the sync button is broken and you want to sync a wireless headset?

if so then yes its possible to buy a xbox wireless adapter and use that to sync the new headset, instructions on how to do that will be with the adapter. If your going to purchase an adapter look at the xbox shop first as im not sure if they do them, failing
that i would go for a named brand as you will want the quality from it.

I think I have found the issue - one of my controllers is broken and the right trigger is stuck on. It's also missing the sync button. Is there any way I can unpair the controller without the sync button?

You have to press the sync button on both the controller and the xbox itself.

I think my sync button might be broken, Doesn't seem to even search for anything to sync with.. I'm using the only other button on the console, pretty certain it's the sync.

It's just above the USB ports on the front, if that isn't it then i don't have anything else to press.
