My suggestions to improve the whole xbox experience

Before I Start I must make it clear that I love all products released under the xbox name or with xbox integration but I would just like to share my thoughts on what would make the console(s) greater. So in no real order I begin... sorry for the wall of
    text lol

    Achievement Correction

I dont see why Microsoft couldnt release an achievement repair/fix app for the xbox one. What I mean by this is the xbox one has access to all your achievements across all platforms, so why can it not scan your gamercard for achievements that have always
been unobtainable or are now unobtainable due to sever closures or botched updates and unlock them. As mentioned this could work for achievements from xbox 360, windows, windows phone or Xbox One. This idea is a split one when it comes to people thinking it
would be unfair for people who spent time unlocking these achievements when they were obtainable, but my solution would be to add a way to differentiate these on the gamercard. Such as where the achievement says unlocked on a certain date it could say unlocked
with xbox achievement repair or something along those lines. This way it leaves people with the bragging rights of completing them legit. The best use for the would be for games that have never been possible to complete such as Cars: Race O Rama or Hellboy
TSOE as examples. A lot of people dodge games due to not being completable. There are also a few games with dlc achievements where the dlc has been removed and this would fix this problem. If Microsoft would require a profitable reason to implement this there
could be money to be made. The app itself could have a 1 off fee or people could pay a small fee to repair each game. I know achievement hunters make up a small percentage but going by websites such as trueachievements a lot of people would be up for this
idea. It also couldnt be too much work for Microsoft to unlock something on their own servers.

    Backwards Compatability

I know this has been talked about a lot before but this is my take on it. I know the xbox one on its own would struggle to have the power to emulate the xbox 360 but I cant see why there couldnt be an add on (similar in size to the xbox 360 hd dvd drive)
that could house a slimmed down xbox 360. I imagine it would be possible to use the blu ray drive on the console itself to read the discs just the extra hardware would be required to play the games not emulate them. People may wonder why this would ever be
required but when people are really into their gaming they can build up a large backlog of games to play. Myself I have about 70 xbox 360 games I have yet to start. Having to switch consoles is actually annoying (I know it can be played through the hdmi in
option but it can be slightly laggy). I would also like to see original xbox games playable on the xbox one. I know this was possible on the xbox 360 but wasnt implemented as well as it could be. If achievement integration was added to the titles it would
bring new people into the game. Even if the achievements simply worked by reading the completion percentage from the save file it would add new life to the old games. These games should be playable using downloadable versions or the original discs. Even if
old windows titles such as the original motocross madness or midtown madness were available cheaply for download a bit like the virtual arcade on wii it would add more reasons to play xbox. If all of these were accessible in one place it would clearly be the
one console for all gaming needs. The other improvement this could bring is it could all be region free. This would allow people to play some of the fantastic games that were not released in their region without having to import the hardware itself.

    Blu Ray Player

The blu ray player should be made region free for blu ray movies and dvds. This would make the xbox one the go to place for people who want to watch what the world has to offer. People worry that films that are not yet released in certain regions but since
its not illegal to buy a region free player from somewhere else Microsoft might aswell get into this market. This could be sorted with an update and would set it miles above other consoles for media based entertainment.

    Windows Phone

Windows phone isnt as big as it could be but a few small tweeks could improve this. There are quite a few great games ruined by bad controls on the phones. Microsoft should either release a controller adapter or some way to connect an xbox controller as
a control interface. This would help improve many of the racing games which rely on tilt controls or first person shooters which just seem unresponsive.

    A Truly Portable Console

Microsoft need a console similar to the 3ds or ps vita. There isnt much to say other than all it would need to succeed are the correct games and there are plenty of games on xbox 360 which would suit a shrunk down version.

Use Of 360 Accessories On Xbox One

Just simply the use of the xbox 360 controllers on Xbox one. For people like myself who own a large selection of controllers when the new system comes out having to go and rebuy all these accessories is a nightmare. Since they can both run off usb this shouldnt
be too much of a problem. This is just a few things off the top of my head and has probably bored you to death already so I will wrap it up now. I would like to know how others feel about these suggestions or how you think the xbox experience could be improved.

    :)

  3. Dual a/v output suggestion

I heard there's going to be a new Xbox to be announced soon. I had a suggestion that I've wanted to see in a console for some time now, which is to implement a way to comment the console to two TV's, to improve split screen experience. What does everyone
    think about that?

    1. No issues here with achievements... some care about them some dont..Some are server issues, some are game issues...

    2. No.. just NO. Shouldve have kept your 360...Nobody really cares about BC to be honest. There is a small group that does but those are the ones that sold their 360s to get a 1. A year from now, name ONE game that you just have to play from the 360...

    3. Some regional laws do not allow certain materials to be played. Simple as that. MS is not above local laws.

4.MS is new to the phone scene. The new Nokias are freaking awesome.. many steps above the initial models that came out

5.I guess this is a kid thing and TBH it needs to stop.. If you are away from your house and gaming room, do something else. Look outside the window, go ride a bike. Something other than staring at a screen. I am about to let go one of my employees as he
is phone addicted. Always on the phone. It is ruining more lives than you think. To those of us that are older, I am sure they can agree.

6.Nope.. once people realize the X1 is not a second version of the 360 but a 100% totally different item and only shares the XB and MS name. they will come to realize that this. This is not Xb 360.2 and accessories made for the 360 are just that... made
    for the 360.

Bravo! You have the guts to do something I never could. Back when I was a restaurant manager, I would have employees using their phones all of the time during work instead of actually working. We had a strict no phones policy during work too. However, I
wasn't allowed to take their phones away from them, even temporarily, and I wasn't allowed to fire them since I was only the assistant manager at the time. I would reprimand them, but knowing I had no real authority and upper management wouldn't back me up,
they kept on using their phones, and my performance as a manager suffered as a result and made me look bad. There's numerous reasons why I stopped working as a restaurant manager after making a career out of it for well over 7 years - that was 1 of them. So,
yes, it can and does ABSOLUTELY ruin lives (and in more ways than you might think).

    ...sorry for the rant.

I am not interested in any of them, I don't play for achievements (although i like getting some, it doesn't bother me if it doesn't pop), I don't own any blue rays and if I did they be from the UK, don't have a windows phone, don't want a portable option,
and don't expect old tech to work with new tech, the controllers alone are significantly different in how they work. Oh and backward compatibility, I have no need I bought an xbox one to play new stuff not old.

You don't even mention parties only holding 8 people who can talk or how they could develop to make them better and easier to use on MP games like BF.

Your way off the mark IMO.

When it comes to the point that I have to leave my desk while making deals to go downstairs with a customer to move a piece of furniture for her, knowing he should be down there and he is in the closet, with his phone propped up on a wall with ear buds in
watching a movie.. yeah it has to stop...but unfortunately, it never will and will only get worse.

Im in agreement with Davey and tohellnbak, as for achievements the clue is in the name "achievment" its hardly that if you can pop it with some software and whats the point in that anyway, if you want it hard enough play hard for it, dont grieve for some
cheevo you didnt get at the time and cant get now because a server is no longer up.

Valid points from everyone. Was just a few things I personally liked the idea of. The only reason I like backward compatibility is i collect retro games as well as the latest releases and something smaller or a console that could still play the older games
would benefit collectors with limited space/power outlets.

Achievements dont mean the world to me but i have always been a completionist and it just personally bugs me if you cannot complete a game. Not so much if the servers went down but when they were broken from day one.

Ill agree with Microsoft not being above the law with supplying content which is banned in other countries, but if you can buy the players region free anyway i wouldnt see the difference.

Im not as young as you would imagine, im 29 and still enjoy portable gaming to wind down after a busy day when not at home.

With phones im not addicted and rarely use mine at work usually as im busy working lol.

As for missing things like the party chat etc I was just running things off the top of my head whilst writing. Same with this message so it seems a bit sporadic. I was going to add a few more ideas depending on the type of response i received from the initial
    message.

I use my phone for calls, texts, camera and yes sometimes tweets and facebook. Anything else is overkill. Phones are just way out of control anymore. People forget what it's like to give it there all at work or to socialize in the real world.
