My subscriptions for Xbox Live Gold stop working

Game pass is like Netflix for Video games. Games with gold is part of the Xbox Live Gold subscription service. The games are only "free" if redeemed during the specified time. They also may stop working if your subscription elapses.

Thanks for your post. It could be that the console just needs to refresh, to do so, try completing a hard reset using the steps below.

1. Turn off the Xbox One console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.
   
2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.
   Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.
   
3. Plug the console power cable back in.
4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox One.

Here's how to stop your membership from renewing, meaning you'll no longer be charged for your membership, but you will be reverted to silver, and lose gold member features.

Be sure to turn off auto renewall on the subscription, this will stop renewing at the end of the subscription. See this link for the how to:

Free games attained from the "Games with Gold" program would only stop working if your Gold subscription has expired.

They are only accessible to play while your Gold subscription is active.

What happens to my Games with Gold games if I cancel my Xbox Live Gold subscription?

On Xbox One, you’ll no longer be able to access your Games with Gold titles if you cancel your subscription. However, if you decide to renew your subscription at any time, you’ll be able to access and play your previously redeemed Games with Gold
titles again.

On Xbox 360, any Games with Gold titles that you redeem as an Xbox Live Gold member are yours to keep, regardless of whether you continue your subscription.

That should of mention from games for gold is that makes sense to you. I never knew about it until after I saw this
