My stupid husband has forgotten his password for his email address so can't get onto his ...

He tried asking for a new password but it says he needs to give any new files he has made, addresses of people he's emailed and subjects of the emails. However he has only used the address on his xbox one and never emailed from it.

    Help!

    :)

  3. HELP WITH XBOX LIVE EMAIL/PASSWORD

My husband and I both have different gamer tags, but I thought that everything was under his Microsoft account. When I try to sign in under my gamer tag it wants to verify email and password. His email and password won't work for mine, so I went onto the
Xbox website and created My own account. Now it is saying that either my password is incorrect or The email I entered doesn't have an Xbox Live Membership!!! This is the first time it has ever asked me for this and now I can't use my gamer tag! Help! Btw my
husband is on deployment and I can't reach him, he's an IT so I'm kind of embarrassed.

  5. Hi, Diesel Zo! I am here to help. So you have multiple options recovering your email address.

    1. Contact Xbox support Cell: 1 (800) 642-7676
    2. Contact Xbox Staff Support here! http://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us
    3. If you can access your account and you are able to go to settings follow these steps below!
    • Sign in to account.microsoft.com using an email address you think you might have used to create your account (see Solution 1 below).
    • Check your email accounts for messages from Xbox Live (see Solution 2 below).
    • Check to see if your email address might have changed since you created your account (see Solution 3 below).
If none of these solutions work for you, return to the previous step using Your Steps on the right side of this page and select another method of finding your Microsoft account email address. If you’ve already tried those solutions and still can’t
find your Microsoft account email address, contact Xbox Support using the Contact Us option at the bottom of this page.

Solution 1: Try signing in with an email address you think you might have used to create your account

    1. Go to account.microsoft.com and try signing in with the email address you think is associated with your Xbox Live account. If you can sign in, the email address and password you entered are valid.
    2. To see if your gamertag is associated with this account, select Services and Subscriptions.
      • If you have a paid Xbox Live subscription, you’ll see it listed. To confirm this account is associated with your gamertag, select Xbox Live settings. This will take you to xbox.com, where you’ll see the associated gamertag displayed in the upper-right
corner of the screen. Use this account email and password to sign in to your Xbox console.
      • If you’re using a free subscription, you’ll be shown a list of services available. Under Xbox Live, select Learn more. This will take you to xbox.com, where you’ll see the associated gamertag displayed in the upper-right corner of the screen. Use
this account email and password to sign in on your Xbox console.
      • If you don’t see a gamertag displayed in the upper-right corner, then this account is not associated with your Xbox Live gamertag and you should try signing in with another email address.
Solution 2: Check your email accounts

Check your email accounts for messages about your Xbox Live subscription (search for messages about “Xbox Live” or “Microsoft billing”). This may help you determine which email address is associated with your Xbox Live subscription.

Solution 3: Check to see if your email address has changed

Think back to when you created your Microsoft account. Were you using a different Internet service provider for email at the time? Because your Microsoft account email address is essentially a “username,” you don’t need to be able to access that old email
account to use it to sign in to Xbox Live.

    Some examples include:

    • You were using @MyISP.com and have switched to @MyCableProvider.net.
    • You used an email address from college, such as @MySchool.edu.
    • You used the email address you had at a previous job, such as @TheCompany.com.
If none of these solutions work for you, contact Xbox Support using the Contact Us option at the bottom of this page. If they did work, or if you need help with a forgotten password, select Continue below.

Help! My husband has forgotten his password

The link keeps saying chat and phone call are not available. So again how do I actually get into contact with someone??

For as much as we pay for our family of four through out the year - Xbox support has been absolutely awful.

Help! My husband has forgotten his password

    Hi again Erin H,

As I mentioned before, the only way to contact support is through the link mentioned above, there you must click on the button that says Contact Us and you will be redirected to a live chat where you will speak with a member of Xbox Support.

I leave you the support link again so you can enter and contact them:

    https://support.xbox.com/contact-us/

    Best regards,
    Daniel.

We’ve filled out the form twice and both to no avail. Also, tried the contact support but kept prompting us to post to the forum. How do I actually contact someone at Xbox support?
