my sound cuts out on my headset

my turtle beach ear force recon 50X headset has been cutting out recently and i unplug it and plug it back and it works for a few seconds and turns off againin to my xbox one controller

Plugged Xbox One headset in the Universal Audio Jack on the front of my PC and it doesn't show up in Sound and doesn't work.

I got a Universal Audio Jack on the front of my PC, I plugged the 3.5mm Xbox one headset into it and the audio doesn't cut out and switch to the headset, no sound is coming from the headset. It also doesn't show in the sound properties on Windows that
somethings plugged in. Any idea?

Audio/mic problem stuttering choppy audio xbox one x

I am having the same problem, I have the Astro A50 headset, the audio cuts in and out constantly, the Astros have a base station for charging the headset connected via the USB for power and the optical cable for sound. I notice when the sound cuts out the
lights on my base station go out as if it has lost connection intermediately. When I move the base station for the headset and my router away from my xbox by about a foot or two, the audio stops cutting in and out and works perfectly. Must be some interference

Try testing it on a different controller to help isolate the problem. It could be either the controller or the headset. You can also try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this.

Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

Are you sure it's the port, and not the cable itself?

I know that with my headset (it's just a cheap one) the sound in the one headphone cuts in and out if I wiggle the cord a little.

Small update - having updated the controller wirelessly yesterday evening with no result, I have seen a few suggestions of updating via usb cable. I’ve now updated the controller again via usb and when I plug the headset in now I get 1-2 seconds of sound
before it cuts out the audio to my headset as well as the tv. I’m assuming it cuts out sound to the tv as the xbox sends it to the controller?

The xbox is also recognising my voice through the mic as my name comes up in party overlay.

My sound dropped out completely in the middle of a video I was streaming. I have switched HDMI ports on my TV (where the sound still works), I have tried changing the sound settings in the audio options, I have unplugged and held the power button and eject
button, I've even done a soft reset. None of this fixes my sound issues.

Can anyone explain why this is happening.

Bruh the same thing has happened to me like it will cut out of both my headset and tv and ive done a hard reset on everything, switched hdmi cords, switched headsets, but after like a few minutes my audio would cut in and out again every few seconds
