My son's gamer tag was changed by an unknown person (hacker?) and he can't log into his profile on the game console. I changed the password on the online account but he still can't log into his profile on xbox live

Hacked Account

My son's account was hacked today, as when he turned on Xbox he wasn't able to talk, lost connection and it was signing him out because it was signed in on another Xbox. The gamer tag is listed below. The guy that hacked it actually got into his Windows
account and had access to my credit card. His name that he put into my son's account was [mod removed:name] and thinks his gamer tag is [mod removed: GT].

My son's friend was able to see the below message on my son's profile.

"YOU HAVE BEEN HACKED - TAKE THE CREDIT CARD OFF THIS ACCOUNT OR YOUR CONSOLE WILL GET PERMABANNED AND WE WILL USE YOUR CREDIT CARD. PARTICIPATE AND THERE WILL BE NO CONSEQUENCES."

I have already changed my password and added a security question, but I would like my Windows account looked into further, as there was a Unique case # listed and I am not sure where it came from.

Account Blocked?

Hi, I'm making this post for a friend since he can't log in to his account. He said that when he tried to log in to his gamer tag on the 360, i said it had some sort of security issue and prompted him to create a new gamer tag. When tried to log in to his
account on xbox.com, it said it was blocked because it was either someone put in the wrong password too many times or he joined through an organization. He just changed his password after all this started so i do not think it is the password thing and he did
not join through an organization. When he deleted his profile on the 360 and recovered it with the same info as his old account, he recovered the new gamer tag, the one it forced him to make. How can he get his old gamer tag back?

Also as a note, he cannot access his email he had for the gamer tag, he reset his password by answering the security question.

I dont want to change my gamer tag. What i'd like to do is set my son up with his own tag....so he can play with his own friends...under his own gamer tag. He plays under his tag..I play under my tag..Totally separate

It is not the first time the gamer tag was changed. It was my account tried to change it to my sons with his gamer tag not mine.

it is on my account, but i do not play on it. Can i change my profile so it becomes my sons ? he is not bothered about keeping his gamer tag, he is only 8 years old.
