My Son's email and password are tied to someone else's account?

Like many others my son received a new Xbox One for Christmas. Like many others he has been unable to log-in due to hacking or whatever the hell is going on....Until this morning. He logged-in with his email and password but the profile that loaded is
not his, it is has 0 Gamerscore and the name "Cursed_Panther" which we do not recognize.

My Son's gamertag is Archmason, but when he logs-in he gets the gamertag Cursed_panther.....anyone run into this problem? How do I get his gamretag back?

You'll want to change the email address on the account for sure, but since you don't have access to the email address I would contact the chat/phone teams for some options.

Someone else's email.

Might've got a little bit excited today because I had purchased the Xbox One and I set up a outlook / Microsoft email perfectly fine but when it came down to entering the email on my Xbox one I obviously didn't look properly because I ended up missing one
bloody letter somehow and I didn't realise till it was too late and I went to check if I could create it but it's already taken so **** do I do

If you log in to Xbox | Games and Entertainment on All Your Devices using his login credentials, what name does it show in the top right?

Sounds like someone broke into your account and changed it.

You sure you are using the same email/password tied to the junker154 account. If so I'd call up Support. Cause if that is the case sounds like someone changed your GamerTag. Might want to browse around your account and make sure nothing else was changed.

If it is an account on a Xbox One console, the account is tied to a Microsoft Account email.

If your son still remembers the email and password to that account, they can simply re-download their accounts with that sign in information.

However, they don't sign in with the Gamertag name, but with the Microsoft Account email address.

Should your son have trouble remembering the email address, he can
follow the instructions here to try to recover the email.

If you changed your email due to forgetting the password, Microsoft may be able to help you out if you call support or use the lost password option on the login and are able to provide any billing details and past passwords to verify. They may be able to
recover it for you.

If you had changed emails due to the original being someone elses email, those games are permanently tied to that email and cannot be recovered to your new account.
