They don't detail why you are suspended. They also don't have any contact information. They are suppose to have a review button but it only shows after you've been suspended for 24 hours. I think they suspend players during times when they need more
space (during the holidays). They suspended my son for 24 hours for language. I monitor his playing and he can't communicate on his device. The Xbox and all other devices were not available during the time and date of the infraction. I contacted 5 different
customer support people and they couldn't give me any contact information for Enforcement. I cancelled my Xbox live subscription. That is no way to treat their customers.

Players receive this message for one of three reasons:

You do not have an active Xbox Live Gold account, which is required to play multiplayer games online. Sign up for an Xbox Live Gold account.
Your Xbox Live Gold account expired. Visit your Xbox Live account to renew your Xbox Live Gold subscription.
Your Xbox Live Gold account was recently renewed. Please allow up to 24 hours for Microsoft to process your transaction.

Basically whenever you sign up for a subscription with a debit/credit card the system turns on auto renew for the subscription. The only way to prevent this is to use a Xbox live prepaid card that you can purchase from retailers.

If you do not turn off the auto renew the subscription will continue to run even if your card is declined Microsoft will continue to try and charge your payment option and after a certain amount of time (not sure of the exact amount of time) they will then
suspend your Xbox live subscription if it is not paid.

This is normally how customers will get a past due balance on their subscriptions.

Like the Customer service rep explained after the live subscription being suspended for a period of time it will then cancel the subscription and that payment option would NEVER be able to be used on another Microsoft account again.

At that point with the subscription being cancelled you would be able to purchase a new subscription.

While the subscription is suspended you would not be able to add any Xbox live Prepaid cards or any type of Microsoft Prepaid cards (even gift cards) to the account.

We experienced the same issue. We have an active Xbox Live Gold Account and was renewed last month.

It sounds like it could be three things, either you don't have an active Xbox Live Gold account, it expired, or your Xbox Live Gold account was recently renewed. Please allow up to 24 hours for Microsoft to process this if that's the case.
