my son to upgrade ultimate game pass- I cancelled it and now xbox live wont work

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that you canceled Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and now your son is unable to use Xbox Live Gold.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is three different subscriptions in one. It includes Xbox Live Gold, Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass for PC. If you cancel Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you lose access to all three of these subscriptions. That is why your son is unable
to use Xbox Live Gold features.

Generally, users will upgrade their Xbox Live Gold subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. This will convert your Xbox Live Gold time to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate time. If you cancel Xbox Game Pass Ultimate after upgrading, you must

purchase an Xbox Live Gold subscription in order to continue using online features for your console. We hope this information helps

I have a similar issue I converted my xbox live gold into the game pass ultimate which runs out tonight, I didn`t use the game pass features so went and bought a 3 months live gold voucher but when I try and get the 3 months live it converts it to one
month game pass ultimate even though I have cancelled the automatic re-newel, if I try again tomorrow will it let me get the live gold or am I going to have the same problems

Yes I have truly paid for Live Gold, it's a re-occurring amount, 03/ 03 / 2020 - this year it was £49.99 - do you want to see my order and invoice number for proof?

Once my son had signed up for ultimate we got correspondence telling us it was £1 for the first month then we'll be billed £10.99 thereafter. See below- Can you please let me know how we are supposed to determine we WON'T be billed until next March 2021?

I find all of this misleading. I have already paid for a service, I'm really not sure it's legal to cancel everything if we simply want to cancel an 'upgrade' on an already paid for service. In effect you already have our money for services agreed, the Ultimate
Pass is a new contract. If you want to cancel everything then legally you have to refund me the original subscription amount less any amount we've used (approx 7 weeks)
