My son was playing Rainbow Six Siege and he was defending the bomb. Then he decided to shoot it but a person got in his way and he team killed that player. After my son received a message from the guy who he killed saying
“noob”. My son replied with “thanks”, then he said he had our IP Address and he said “no xbox for two years”. I don’t know if this is possible so if anyone could help it would be much appreciated.

This GamerTag is harassing me

i get kicked offline on my computer too I even contacted my isp and its not from them. i know its him because he sent me messages saying it was and he even had my ip adress. its not hard to get someones ip adress and kick them offline. he keeps doing it
and will keep doing it. I contacted Microsoft and they told me to post on here and i did. he been doing it to me and a few other friends. its been going on for weeks. I still have the messages he sent me with my IP adress in it and saying hes gonna just keep
doing it.

Booted Offline

Hello! When I played yesterday, there were one player that got mad at me. He sent a Private Chat invite to me, without saying anything in the chat, when I left it, he sent a message on which country and what city I live in and my IP adress. 1 minute after
he sent me the message I couldent go online on my Xbox, PC or iPhone. He has sent me messages were it says that I should watch out for him, saying he will freeze me in every session im in, he will take my IP adress in every party im in. I have a capture card,
so i recorded all messages he sent me, with IP adress and were he says that he will take me offline, if you want to see the evidence. He has done the same to some people on my friends list.

best thing to do is to report the messages so the enforcement team can look into this.

They should handle this.

Just an addition to the previous comment. Be sure to block the gamertags who send messages like this as well so they cannot contact your son again.

If they do DDoS you be sure to unplug your modem for 10 seconds to reset your internet. As well, be sure to contact your ISP to let them know what happened as DDoS attacks are illegal

Ok, is there a way around this? The person is rumored to have bought software to kick my son offline. Our internet provider actually had to cut off our internet due to the traffic jam this software caused. I told my son to avoid this player and have
no communication with them. Since then, this person has sent my son at least two messages and a friend request. Last night, he sent "why are you hiding from me"...I don't want our internet to be compromised again. I'm curious if there is another way for
this person to unblock himself? My son says he hasn't sent a message and he says he didn't unblock this person. I checked and the player is still blocked. I can't check to see sent messages but I do believe my son. Thank you for response.
