My son cannot have access to live

Hi, i am new of xbox live. I just bought an live gold subscription for one month for my son.

Since i want to be the console administrator i create a main account for me and a secondary for my son. I bought the gold live subscription by means of my profile

Doing that i notice that while it would be possible to play online with my profile it is not with my son' s one.

How can i transfer the right to go and play on line to my son?

You cannot transfer the right on Xbox 360 to your son's account but you can buy the subscription on his account instead. If you purchased with credit card I would suggest to turn off the Automatic renewal on yours unless you would like to use it too. Gold
membership cannot be shared on Xbox 360 so all individuals needs to have their own gold membership. I hope this helped.

 

Be aware that if you purchase a membership with a credit card on an account that the card cannot be removed until the membership reverts back to silver. If you add a card to your son's account he will have access to it to purchase other items from the marketplace.
I would recommend heading to your local gaming store to purchase a membership code that way and then enter it on your son's account.

all of the above are correct however if you purchased the 12M membership or the 3M membership since its already paid for you can call phone support at 1-800-4MYXBOX and have them cancel the membership on your accnt and remove the cc and just have them give
you a code for the remaining months. for example if you purchased the 12M and you only used 3M you can cancel the membership and get a code for 9M so you can redeem on your sons accnt.

They will not change over a gold membership after a certain point. If a membership has been incorrectly entered on a different account you only have (I believe) 48 hours to contact support to have them change it.

 

Let me try to clear this up a bit. If the son has a child account he cannot purchase anything without a consent of the parent account(parent account MSA and PWD). Credit card can be removed by support agent event if there is a gold and this time the membership
have the automatic renewal off. If the 3 or 12M membership was purchased on any account and the account holder calls in within cool down period they will get refund if they call in after they could get the remaining time in email in PPC format. (this judged
by case by case basis).
