Can't get onto Xbox live

Hi

My son has changed from an Xbox 360 to Xbox one and now he cannot get into his Xbox live account. Can anyone help with this?

 

Old hotmail account used has been hacked

Help. The hotmail account that my son used to set up his xbox a few years ago has been hacked and we cannot get into it at all. About a week ago his gamertag disappeared (THEO313). How can I get a completely new email associated with his xbox live account.
Please don't suggest filling out reset form as we cannot access our passwords to it as all.

Help how can I help my son.

If it says "Can't Connect To Xbox Live Party", it means that u had your xbox on for a long period of time or you probably have problems with your internet connection.

Can you please tell me what it says and can you run a network test please and tell me the results so we can run a fee troubleshooting steps to get your son enjoying joining his friends party

Or it may be his friends connection that won't allow him to join so please do the network test please and reply back on this thread

Yes, you can run a network test, on the dashboard, go to settings (far right tab) then system - network settings - click on the one you are connected to then select test xbox live connection. If all come back green you at the bottom, you shouldn't have a
network problem, if you get a notice telling you that there is a problem, the first step to try would be to reboot your router and try again. Maybe your friend could try the test if yours comes up green. Good luck and let me know how it works out.
