My son cannot download games on his account.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

Just a friendly reminder though that adding an account on a family group means that you will be able to manage their spending, games that they can access, as well as privacy settings but when it comes with games and subscriptions in order for you to share it you need to set the console that they're using as Home Xbox.

In this case, you need to ask your son to set your account as Home Xbox on the Xbox console that he is using so he can access your games and subscriptions.

1. Sign in to your account using the Xbox console that he is using.

2. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

3. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Personalization, and then select My home Xbox.

4. Select Make this my home Xbox.

Is it correct that when im signed out, my son cannot download any games from game pass?

As it says join game pass and join live etc on his account. But, up to now, the already downloaded game pass games load up and he can play online.

Xbox 1

= Son 1 Xbox and set to Home Xbox

= My profile is on here as well as Son 1s profile

Xbox 2

= Son 2 Xbox

= My profile is on here as well as Son 2s profile.

Son 1 plays on xbox 1 on his profile and game says you must log in to the account that downloaded the game.

So he logs into my account....Games work

Son 2 plays on xbox 2 on his profile says you must log in to account that downloaded the game.

Log into my account, games work for son 2, but son 1 Now can't play the games

If FIFA is for your friend's son then you will need to have his gamertag on the console to download it so that the game is linked to his account (the game will link to whichever tag downloads it first and cannot be switched).

Now, this will be fairly easy and won't spoil the surprise. Have your friend come over and enter in the email details of the account for the Xbox One while it's being set up. His son's account can be up and running on both the Xbox One and the Xbox 360
