If the back of the card hasn't been scratches off there is no reason the store shouldn't be able to do anything exchange. Honestly I would contact Shoprite corporate as they will likely side with you especially since MS said the exchange could be done.

except like most.retailers prepaid codes are final sale regardless of if it's scratched or not

Ms has to defer to.thr.retailer but it.is.still.upto.the store policy to decide if it can be exchanged or not as customary with prepaid cards as ms doesn't deal with retail cards

Like 99.9% of.stores.it.would.be a NO

You are going to have use it as added prepaid time or sell it at a discount online @op

if the code hasnt been used and the value is the same or the differenfe made up i dont see qhy not. Ive exchanged cards from various stores. Check with them and see what their policy is

Usually, digital download games are not refundable.

However, on a case by case basis, the official support might be able to refund or exchange it for the proper game.

He bought it at Shoprite and they said they won't exchange it. Xbox said they could do it too. Shoprite just lost a customer.
