    My solution to Xbox one controller random disconnecting


    Hi all

    Im not saying this will solve your controller disconnecting problem but it solved mine

    1) get rid of kinect (I have it disconnected)

    2) everytime you want to use your controller wirelessly first turn it on and get it really close to the console for a couple of minutes I jus put it on top of it (of course console has to be on)

    I have done every other troubleshoot and this sounds silly I know but works for me.

    If I don't put my controller on top of the console it will just disconnect everytime.

    PS: Not positive if kinect has to be disconnected to be honest you can try for yourselves give it a try it might work for you too.

    Controller regularly disconnects/reconnects on PC

    I have a 360 controller that's been working fine on my PC for the past 2 years. I recently got an xbox one controller and it's been disconnecting/reconnecting at random times.

    Sorry to hear about your problem. I would recommend trying the Randomly Disconnecting troubleshooter:

    support.xbox.com/.../random-disconnect-solution

    It has several steps for wireless disconnecting issues. Please let me know if this helps My solution to Xbox one controller random disconnecting :)

    Stops completely, but only If I first do the waiting a couple of minutes with controller near/on the console

    You will actually get a few disconnections in a row after you do the couple of minutes but after a few more attempts getting the controller closer it will stay solid connected and Im 9 feet away.

    Again just sharing what works for me controller is updated.

    I am on the preview program we just got an update which as a controller update and fixes, I will have a look to see if its sorted your problems out.
