my solitaire colllection wont open keeps telling me go to the store

This is happening to me, too, and I had been playing Solitaire for months with no problems. I did not make any changes to my computer. I get the update available notice, log in, it takes me to the store that tells me there are no updates available and then
it logs me out. If I leave Solitaire open it correctly logs my games played and won, but if I close Solitaire and then go through the sign in/update/sign out glitch, it resets my games back to where I was when the glitch started happening.

Hello again Duncan, Thank you so much for your info, I tried as you suggested, but as I am not totally tech savvy I can only do my best. I still cant open anything associated with MS store. My new Task Bar reads from L to R,

Start; a search window; Task View; Edge; File Ex.; Snip & sketch; MS Store; mail; Solitaire; jigsaws and Skype. The last 5 will not open, they wont open either from Start Menu whether I click on the tile or from the menu, they just wont open. When I try
to download solitaire or jigsaw a little window opens and tells me "you'll need a new app to open this ms-windows-store". and the "ok" button is greyed out. So where do I go from here?

My OS is Windows 10. my son gave me this laptop earlier this year, he had it upgraded from Windows 7 (I believe) to 10.

Until last Tuesday night everything was working fine, then when I opened it Weds morning.....boom...….very different!

already tried that, as soon as i open it and go into the store page for back 4 blood it still tells me to "update" or "resume install", wont move from there. i clicked terminate, repair and reset, nothing worked.

Hi Nick, I was so excited by your news, I went right to computer and...same old thing. Hit upgrade, same message, uninstall, go to store and find Microsoft Solitaire Collection , install, open, TRIAGO commercial plays before I can play a daily challenge
game....Surely I am missing something? I never get a chance to pay my $9.99, and in the store it tells me I already own it. Thanks SO much. Klaus

Sorry to say that it sounds as if your drive is going to be in need of a repair.



If the console is under 12 months old you could try returning it to the store you bought it from for a replacement. Also under 12 months old you'd be eligable for a free repair from Microsoft.
