My sisters account got hacked

yesterday (10/25/17) my sisters account got hacked and the guy changed the main email for the account to his email. I can't remember it right off hand, but I think the was something like
[MOD Removed - Please see
Forum Guidelines] and when I look at her account on my friends list it just says offline. Me and my sister don't know what to do and we are trying to get in contact with someone from Microsoft or something. My sisters gamer tag is WhitePhoenix131.

Hey, can you give us some more details about how it happened? If I understand correctly, you're currently in possession of the account? The hacker is no longer using it?

If yes, I really suggest that you immediately contact the Xbox support and explain to them what exactly happened. If you can somehow prove, or make them believe that you truly got hacked they might revert the communication ban. I think that it's your best bet good luck!

 

If your sister believes her account was somehow compromised then she would need to follow the instructions

Update - OK thank you for the help I think we might be able to get the account back, but because he switched the account's main email to his as well as putting in all of his information in replacement of hers it is going to be difficult to get it back.

 

It's best to reach out to the chat/phone teams in that case. As long as you're able to verify the account, they should be able to assist.
