my share won't work unless I sign into he's account

Please keep in mind that the Microsoft Services Agreement and Xbox Live Code of Conduct strictly prohibit users from signing into accounts they do not own.

That said, it would appear that your friend has chosen to set a different Xbox One console as their account's Home Xbox. If your console had that setting, you'd be able to launch the content without even involving the friend's account. So technically, you don't
have legal access to the content unless he chooses to let your console be his account's Home Xbox.

You have to sign into the acount that purchased the gane you are trying to play.You can switch the acount durring the load up of the game or if it has a switch account setting

If it's just his account that's banned then you should be fine unless he did something to the console. If the console is banned, you won't be able to sign on.

Did you give him your account information (maybe game sharing) and he signed into your account on his console and made the purchases?

If this is the case that is why we dont reccomend doing the game sharing unless its in the same household.

Did you make a separate account from his? If so you can set your account as a home Xbox on that device and he won't need to sign in as you to access the games. Otherwise if there is only one account it should be able to work offline unless set otherwise
by the game developer.
