My Series X shut off on me today. ��

Was playing some FH5 tonight and my screen flashed green for a second and then the Xbox shut off.

Some parameters in case someone might have some insight on what I should do:

1) Bought NEW off Facebook Marketplace, on April 1st. Seller didn't seem sketchy and we made the deal at his own house.

2) I've downloaded a decent amount of games and shuffled things around between the internal and external storage devices. Used about a 1.2 terabytes since purchase.

3) Been playing the 10h trial for Battlefield 2042 S|X version, then bought it on disc at Gamestop, not realizing it was only the Xbox One version.

4) I've been keeping and eye on heat levels and have a duster can on hand as I've read horror stories. I'm a clean person and made sure my console is well ventilated and free of dust.

5) I live in a basement and it's gets fairly cold, so I run a heater at 74 (I'm skinny, so I get cold easily, alright! ��)

EDIT: Lastly, I have a custom controller that I keep plugged in at all times, a 3tb external HDD and USB headset. All plugged 24/7. I've heard that too many things plugged can cause power issues?

Am I just overreacting/overthinking it? I'm good on MS warranty until 3/2023. I'm just a little scared about what happened today n

The heater is plugged separately from the console. But its also in close proximity to the console, about 3 feet, facing away.

Looking at the above comment regarding the heater, what type of heater is it? If it's electrical, is it plugged directly into the wall on its own or is it being shared with the console?

Be careful with electrical appliances and overloading extensions. Not only can it be a major fire risk, but overloading the socket can also cause issues with the console power draw which in turn can damage the console.

The Xbox USB ports can only supply a finite amount of power to devices. Having them all used at once will not cause a power issue.

I had shut off my Series X last night to come back to the issue today, and it turns out that’s all that was needed to resolve the error. Figures turning it off and back on again was the solution

Troubleshooter steps seem to have resolved the issue. Game save on the series x was today at 10:33. I shut off that console and powered up the Xbox one and, low and behold, the game save on that console was today at 10:33. Thank you VERY much!!!
