My series x keeps disconnecting my controller and external storage device

In this case, resetting the console and removing everything will be the last resort and if that didn’t work getting the console repaired will be the best option.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

Please perform a powercycle on your console as this usually fixes this issue.

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE​​​

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

If the issue persists please perform a factory reset on your console keeping your games and apps to delete any corrupted system data.

Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Reset and keep my games & apps.

This did not resolve the issue as it immediately happened again after the factory reset

How about an acknowledgment that this is an issue, and how about we get a patch already! There are THOUSANDS of ppl dealing with this, let’s get a fix OTHER than a hard reset!
