My series x is reading a wired connection even when there isn't one plugged in.

I can see that your series x is having trouble connecting to the internet. This sounds like a possible hardware issue with the ethernet port on your console. To troubleshoot this, please follow these steps:



- Make sure your console is turned off and unplugged from the power source.

- Use a flashlight to inspect the ethernet port on the back of your console. Look for any signs of damage, dirt, or debris that might be blocking the port or causing a false connection.

- If you see any damage, please contact Xbox Support for a repair request. If you see any dirt or debris, use a can of compressed air to gently blow it out of the port.

- Plug your console back into the power source and turn it on.

- Go to Settings > Network > Network settings and check if your console still shows a wired connection. If it does, try using a different ethernet cable or a different port on your router or modem.

I found this happened to me when my xbox hard reboots when expansion card and USB devices are plugged in it seems like a os issue if I remove them all it works normally again

I have contacted them and am currently trying the only option I have left to do for me without sending it in. I have to do an offline update due to it not allowing me on internet in any way. I did a factory reset and can no longer get to my dashboard without the update.

I have gone through all the steps above with no improvement. After the factory reset I can no longer get to the dashboard due to me no longer being able to connect to the internet with or without the ethernet.
