My series x is reading a wired connection even when there isn't one plugged in.

So when I turned my xbox on this afternoon it wouldn't connect to the internet. Tried unplugging the wired ethernet cable but even after it was unplugged it was still reading that it was plugged in. I have power cycled it multiple times. Even unplugged everything and let it sit for awhile and tried again. When I try to do I wireless setup it won't let me because it's reading that it is still plugged into a wired network. Help!
