My series s takes about 5 minutes to shutdown

Try a complete shutdown of the console. While it is shutdown, turn off your router/modem for 5-10 minutes then turn it back on. Wait for about 15 minutes and then restart the Xbox. Is the Xbox connecting wirelessly or with a wired connection? Under your
network settings, check the connection to Xbox Live.

That's what I am done,put my series s on energy saving and then select full shutdown after that I hear noises on the left side of series s and it won't stop noising unless I unplug it

I just had this problem about 5 minutes ago and fixed it by unplugging my xbox after doing a complete shutdown. Googling the problem brought me here. Hopefully Microsoft creates an update for this soon, I would hate to have this problem repeatedly.

Don't know how soon it'll be shutdown but when it does it will be no biggie. ME3 MP had a great run especially considering when no one thought the mode would stick around longer than a few months. It's definitely dying down tho, it takes about 5-10 minutes
to get a full Platinum lobby now and that's with me & my bud waiting (so basically just for 2 people).

I've had recent issues with noise and disc drive not being recognised on my Xbox Series X and the only way I found to stop this issue is to do a Full shutdown of the console and restart.

Settings>System>General>Power...>Full shutdown.

Its worthwhile removing power cable from console for a few minutes after you shutdown before you restart.

Also, eject the disc before you shutdown.
