My seagate Xbox external storage won't glow white

Turn off the Xbox console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console until it shuts down completely. Remove the external hard drive from your console.

Unplug the console's power cable, wait 10 seconds. Be sure to wait 10 seconds, this step resets the power supply. Plug the console power cable back in, turn on your Xbox. When your console turns on, plug in the hard drive again and see if that fixes the problem.

If the problems persists reset the console to factory defaults, you won't lose anything but you will need to log in with your account again. Email and password are required.

Follow this path and select reset keeping games and app.

In 5 to 10 minutes you will finish reconfiguring your console

To reset the console>

Settings> System> Console Info> Reset Console

**Do not reset your console without having your email and password.**

If the problem persists connect your hard drive to a PC and see if the hard drive is recognized on your PC, I recommend formatting and reconnecting in the console.

If the external hard drive is not recognized even in the PC's disc manager, there is a problem with your external hard drive. I recommend contacting the manufacturer.

Also should be noted patched games can only be installed internally or on storage cards

NOT external hds

Seagate ssd game drive won't cut it it must be the Seagate series x storage cards which uses nvme tech not ssd

What’s the specific external storage drive you have connected? Seagate, Samsung, Toshiba, WD, etc.
