Ok, so when I got the Xbox One X Scorpio edition it was silent. I played all my games for hours and it never made a sound. It's clear and open with nothing obstructing it and it's not hot.

Recently in the last few weeks I noticed I could hear the fans a lot when playing. These are the same games I was playing before with no fan noise, but not there is a lot of it. Then a couple days ago the whole machine locked up and became unresponsive before
turning off.

I unplugged it all and got out an air duster to make sure that the fan etc was clean and noticed the plastic on the back was warped. It's fatter in the middle than the edges and doesn't appear to be held together properly. I can squeeze it back into shape
with my fingers but when I let go it just sags again.

Mix this all in with the fact that often when I try to turn it on the console doesn't respond to the pad so I have to push the button on the front, it make tha badabing sound then goes off instantly again. I have to press it a second time and then it does
a full boot as if it wasn't in standby. This leaves me exceedingly concerned about the console. I don't want to be without it while it's returned, but I also don't want to be told there is nothing wrong and charged or have it totally die 360 style because
of a flaw.

Noise with Xbox one X

My X1X Scorpio Edition was incredibly loud while watching blu-ray movies. Even about 15 feet away, it was still distractingly loud. Had to do an RMA. Couldn't do an advance exchange or even an exchange in store because it was the Project Scorpio edition.
Being told it could take upwards of 28 days to repair. Really poor service from Microsoft if you ask me.

 

Xbox One X Loud disc Drive when installing games.

I noticed My Xbox One X ‘s Disc Drive make a very loud sound while games install from disc? Is my Disc Drive faulty? Does anyone else have/has this issue? I don’t really want to send it in for repair and I really don’t want to exchange it at a retailer
for a new one since it’s a project Scorpio edition.

 

It sounds like it is over heating . Is it well ventalated , and is it directly plugged into the wall?

 

Either way you should take it to a service tech or send out to microsoft for reapir

 

Yes, it's very clear. Nothing around it. It has it's own shelf on the TV unit with nothing nearby and always has had. It's also plugged directly in (but not sure what difference that would make).

It used to be fine, then suddenly recently I noticed it had changed and the fans are super annoying now.

 

Yes, I was about to but that means I will be without it for weeks at best which is super annoying. Their advance replacement seems to be that you buy a new console and then return the old one for a refund, which is even worse (especially as mine is a Scorpio
edition).
