    My saved games are being pushed aside by a new profile that I didn't create help!


    My saved games are being pushed aside by a new profile that I didn't create help!

    I have Forza Motorsport and Horizon that I play a lot and have tones of saved data.

    One day I started up my xbox 360 and now my xbox online profile is saving games to /saved game instead of marketplace data/saved game



    Any help would be greatly appreciated I am about to throw my xbox 360 out the window.

    Xbox Live doesn't recognize my microsoft account as valid?

    ok, so I might have screwed up.in doing this but I deleted.my old profile and created a new email address to serve the new profile I wanted to create. i didn't delete my saved games and such because I still wanted them on my new profile. i successfully created
    the profile, but when it came to signing in xbox said that my email and /or password was invalid! I double checked and all the information is correct...why is it not letting me sign in? I planned to move some data around so that my new profile could take ownership
    of those games and saved data, but I can't seem to get past this.... help please!!!!!!

    Moving my Gamer Profile to a different Microsoft 'live' account with subscriptions

    With that in mind, if I create / use my Live account from my PC (i.e. create a new profile on my Xbox 360) can I transfer my saved games / XP / etc. across to it?

    your account on here is also that same gamertag, so I don't really understand what the problem is. Does it show a different gamertag on your console?

    Thanks for replying.

    All I can say is my saved games are no more since I signed up to xbox live gold for the free month membership then canceled it.

    My profile does seem to match as you can see but I guess it was saving to marketplace data/saved game before.

    Gametag on wrong profile

    ...Like i said...i tried to log in with the profile with the saved games and it does not let me. The other profile was created by windows 10 on my laptop. Never had knowledge that there was a gametag and a profile already created. so because of not knowing
    i created a new profile on my xbox where i saved all my gameplay...now i just want to change the profile i created on my xbox, for the one created by windows 10................ am i really the only one with this problem....why is this so complicated? Thanx

    OMG, this made it WORSE!

    Now I can't even access my saved games!

    The I deleted the profile and re-downloaded with my email and login, but instead of my old gamertag, it was the NEW gamertag that I created! All my saves were associated with my OLD gamertag. When I try to move my saves to the new profile, it says "this
    item can't be transferred between profiles". Are you serious???? At least before, I could play offline, now all my saves are gone!

    Can't you just merge my old profile with my new one? Please help!

    Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. I'd be happy to help.

    The issue lies with current saves being saved in a different location from before a recent update to the app, therefore your old saves are just in another location and you will need to copy them over to the new location. You just need
    to start a new game and save to create this new folder, find your old save from the previous save folder, copy the saves in the folder and move them to the new location, while deleting the save you just created to create the folder.
