My satellite tv remote keeps turning on my Xbox one console

the same thing happens to me, the control of my cable box turns on my xbox one XDD

No, the 2 devices are not connected. I always thought that xbox wireless controllers used Bluetooth, and that was where the problem lay.

I have checked my sat box and the HDMI CEC function is turned off.

However I am starting to think that another device is responsible. I use an Actiontec wireless AV sender/receiver to send my sat tv picture to a tv in another room. It uses the 802.11n band on the 5GHz frequency. It is only when I am using that device that
the Xbox turns itself on.

Dont know, so im sorry i cant help. but i am curious if that is why my xbox would just randomly turn on and off in my old apartment. maybe my neighbors had the same thing??? Interesting. we moved and it doesnt happen anymore...
