  1. My SAMSUNG TV isn't supported???

Every time I try starting any movie or show on the Movies & TV app, it pops an error message saying; "Your monitor isn't supported because it does not have the right copyright protection". Can someone explain how my TV not having some sort of Copyright Protection
has anything to do with watching a movie? It ain't even a smart TV...

    :)

  2. Best tvs for xbox one please ?

I have a Samsung 22 inch LED TV I purchased about 2 or 3 years ago. I love my Samsung TV. My games look great on it. I'd recommend Samsung personally.

Whats The Best TV for Gaming?

In my house, I never 'buy' a TV for the bedroom, usually relegate the living room TV to my bedroom and buy a better TV for the living room. I recently sent my 46" 6 Series Samsung 1080p TV to the fate of my bedroom and in its own right is an amazing TV.

50" 3D 1080p Samsung Plasma now graces the living area. I only use Samsung.

  4. My SAMSUNG TV isn't supported???

Hey, ThatDudeDakota! Sorry to see you're receiving this error. Does this happen with any other type of media like Amazon Video or Netflix? Let us know!

This typically means that your monitor or TV doesn't support HDCP, which is required to playback Movies & TV experiences. Do you know if your TV supports this?

  6. This can happen for a few reasons. I found that I have this problem with some HDMI cables. But what was odd is that it wasn't on the side from the xbox to the TV, but from the cable box to the Xbox. I swopped the wires and the problem went away. If you
have spare cables you might wan to try swopping them out. I've also had this problem when the cable wasn't inserted completely. The video still worked, but the plug was half out, and it would throw this message. I also have a Samsung TV so give it a try.
If that doesn't do anything, try talking to Samsung. Even their "not smart" tvs have firmware upgrades periodically and you may be seeing a defect in the firmware.

Error code 0x80bd0009 when set up DOLBY ATMOS

Under Speaker audio in your settings menu when you select Dolby Atmos for home theatre in brackets beside it says HDMI only which indicates that Atmos isn't available over an optical connection. So the only way this is going to work is if your TV supports
Atmos passthrough which is probably not the case at least it isn't with my 4K 2017 Samsung. You would have to check with Samsung to be sure however.

    Will Xbox One support H.265?

    [quote user="cjhawkins3rd"]

I bought a Samsung UHD TV and run my Xbox One directly though the TV using HDMI. I use the TV optical out to my Sonos system for surround sound. I have found that I can stream UHD movies from my Samsung TV using Netflix. Apparently h.265 compression is
built-in to the TV. My issue is that Netflix from the Xbox One does not support UHD (or 4K) at this point. Does anyone know if the Xbox will upgrade to support h.265?

Buying new TV looking for advice

Samsung tvs are exceptional from my own experience. Their UI isn't so great. I would wait maybe a year to purchase a 4k tv as the prices will come down considerably. Unless u need it now...

Does anyone know of compatible Smart TV's that can run the XBOX app for REMOTE play?

There isn't one. Only Samsung TV's at the moment do Xbox Cloud gaming, but none that can play games remotely.

Xbox 360 S unable to connect to Samsung Q series TV

since the only thing it isn't working with is that particular TV you should contact Samsung support or try connecting it through some kind of adapter or switcher that would change the HDMI chip it's talking to

The Xbox 360 is no longer supported so no updates or changes would be made to the system
