My sad experience with xbox one

So im a fanboy of xbox one and 360 i got paid 539 bucks when MS announce the day one edition in the E3. Then in November 22 i went and got my one with a 3 month xbox live card 24.99 bucks played it like a bish. Battlefield 4 and Dead rising 3. i stopped
using it in January something because i didn't buy another xbox live card (didn't have money lost my job). Then using it offline playing dead rising offline the xbox stopped showing an HD image the only resolution the xbox would show was a 640x540 something
like that. i figure out the auto-detect HDMI died so i manually set it to 1080p and it worker "its okay not a problem" 1 month later the xbox started to shut down it self randomly. Couldn't play anything so i started to call MS Support to repair it but since
i live in Puerto Rico i was force to pay 65 bucks of shipping because they dont cover international shipments with FEDex so i had to pay FEDEX expensive shipments. 2 weeks later they send it back to Puerto Rico in "fedex" but the code they provided never worked
so 1 month later waiting for this console i figure out they mail the xbox in UPS not fedex. Anytime i click the tracking number it auto-send me to the fedex page. So they didnt told me i could send my xbox one in UPS which is less expensive. So after all that
trouble they gave me 1 month free of xbox liv. Now 27 days later

the controller is broken. The X stays like if it was press but its not(like the software is broken or the motherboard) used the controller for like 400 hours of playing since nov, 22 2013 the rest of the time it was inside the xbox box in a table

So in total

539.00 24.99 65.00 total of 628 just to make this console work now i need a new controller 60 buck(good luck finding a day one controller)

so can i still be a fanboy

You still need a disc when starting the game for the console to check the license (that you didn't sell the game). Games install from discs pretty quick, but when you buy digitally it depends mostly on your internet connection speed. Unfortunately for you,
the biggest competitor of Xbox works the same exact way.

While that is a really crappy experience you went through, it still boggles my mind that people would spend their last dollars on something that is essentially an entertainment device. I'm not one to tell people how to spend their hard-earned money, and
I'm not doing that here... I'm just stating that I find it odd. Sorry.

 

Eggnogga. Everybody need's to treat themselves, it's no fun working all week every week just to scrape by. Me and the Mrs lived like that for a year or two when we first met. Sometimes it's nice to actually treat yourselves even if it skints you for a while.

 

Oh, I definitely agree with you, Goat. I just agree with a budget, personally. If you have X amount of dollars, the total amount shouldn't go towards entertainment, but only a percentage of that.

Again, this is just me speaking in broad general terms and is not directed at any one person.

 

I feel sympathetic too for peps such as this who have faulty Xbox 1 hardware. Xbox 1 hardware is meant to be reliable. If you live in Australia or New Zealand under our laws, if you want to get a faulty under warranty product repaired, you can get a replacement,
refund, or hand it back to the retailer who will organize repair at no additional costs even if you live in NZ and it has to get shipped to maybe Australia for servicing, for you which under law must be repaired by M within a "reasonable time" and that over
means within a few business days not weeks not 15+ days.

very bad luck by the sounds of it, id say take it back to where you got it but not sure on return policies of PR ...
