My rewards account seems to be messed up.

After signing up for xbox live rewards with my main account, I started getting emails regarding my rewards status with an account that I haven't used or signed into for years. I haven't received any rewards on my main account and I preordered three games
last week. I should have satisfied the requirements for the punch card, and I also should have satisfied the requirements for the simply rewarding mission. However, the email to activate this mission didn't make it to me. I also haven't received any rewards
points for my purchases. All of this in addition to the mission for Ghost Recon Wildlands coming out after I had already preordered it is leaving me incredibly frustrated and disappointed with xbox live rewards.

    :)

    Xbox Live Problems

Apparently, my live account is messed up. I contacted the xbox rewards forum first because my rewards account isn't updating anything. They said there is something wrong with my live account that needs fixed first. I have no idea what. Please fix.

    My messed up account.

    Hello,

    Thanks for the support message.

If you have forgotten the password to your Microsoft Account, please go to
    http://xbox.com/forgot/
    to reset your password.

If you have access to your Microsoft Account but can not pass any of your Security proofs, please go to
Recover your account and fill out that information there. It will ask you a series of questions and personal information on the account. If you fail to answer the questions correctly and
get an email back saying that they will not be able to assist you with recovering your account, unfortunately the account is lost, sorry.

    What's a Security Proof?

A security proof is either an email or phone number linked to your Microsoft Account that an automated system sends a numerical code to to verify your identity because Microsoft thinks that a password alone is not nearly secure enough. You are required to
have at least two security proofs on your account (i.e. two emails, or an email and phone number)

Should you have any other concerns, feel free to post back.

    Cheers!

My rewards account seems to be messed up.

    Hello dblmh,

Since your other account remained registered as a Rewards member and has the same email as this account, we are still sending email messages addressed to that gamertag. If you would like, we could opt that account out of the program, which should leave this
gamertag as the only account associated with that email address.

However, this had no affect on your purchases. We see that you completed Simply Rewarding, and those Credits are now pending in your account. However, there was a delay processing some purchases around the beginning of the month, which impacted your Ghost
Recon purchase. We will adjust that purchase manually to award a Games on Demand punch, and you should see the Credits for completion of that offer shortly.

However, it is likely that if you attempt to log in to the Rewards site to check this information you will be logged in as your other gamertag since the email addresses are the same and that is the older Rewards Account. Would you like us to opt your other
    gamertag out of the program?

Yes, opting the other account out of the program would be nice. It seems like my account has updated, it just took a lot longer than the expected 96 hours. Thank you.

    Hello dblmh,

We have opted your previous account out of the Rewards program, and you should stop receiving communications for that account after 48 hours have passed.

my rewards are all messed up

    Hello Fearless Rob 82,

Pre-orders are not eligible for MyVIP, and therefore not eligible for VIP Boost offer. This is mentioned in both our MyVIP FAQ:

What content on the Xbox Store is eligible for MyVIP?

Normally, most purchases for Xbox 360 and Xbox One from the Xbox Store qualify, including full Games on Demand titles (excluding game pre-orders), arcade games, indie games, game add-ons, game Season Passes, movies, TV shows, TV seasons, themes and avatar
items. In-game consumables, Xbox Live Gold memberships, Groove Music Passes, Microsoft Movies & TV Season Passes, and the purchase or redemption of Microsoft Points or Xbox Gift Cards, still do not qualify.

and the FAQ for the offer:

Which content is eligible for this offer?

You must spend at least $XX before tax on qualifying MyVIP content from the Xbox Store and Microsoft Movies & TV during the offer period. Most purchases for Xbox 360 and Xbox One from the Xbox Store qualify, including full Games on Demand titles (game pre-orders
do NOT qualify), arcade games, indie games, game add-ons, game season passes, themes, and avatar items. From Microsoft Movies & TV, qualifying content includes movies, TV shows, and TV seasons. However, in-game consumables, Xbox Live Gold memberships, Groove
Music Passes, Microsoft Movies & TV Season Passes, and the purchase or redemption of Microsoft Points or Xbox Gift Cards do not qualify.

Since your purchases since November (with the exception of your Rainbow Six Siege Pass) have all been pre-orders, they have not awarded payback. Since your purchases in February were pre-orders (except the Siege Pass), you did not complete the VIP Boost
    offer.

Regarding your wife's VIP Payback, without having her gamertag, we cannot provide a thorough investigation. However, it sounds like you are expecting payback early. From our FAQ:

When will my MyVIP Rewards Credits be deposited into my Microsoft account?

The total Rewards earned will be calculated at the end of each month. Typically you'll receive your MyVIP earnings in your account by the 15th of the following month, though this is subject to the program's current deposit
terms. Be sure to keep an eye on MyStatement on the
MyRewards page to track your progress and watch your Rewards Credits total grow!

We only recently calculated last month's MyVIP, so you may have missed this Credit event.

    XBOX messes up my REWARDS!!!

Are there any specific offers you're looking for credits from? In order to receive credits, your purchases either have to be eligible for a specific offer on the site at the time, or you need at least 1 star level in order to receive VIP rebates.
