My Resident Evil 2 (2019) disc wont load, it keeps saying to clean the disc

If not, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

Solution 1: Ensure the disc is clean and not defective

Clean the disc with a soft, clean, slightly damp cloth. Hold the disc by the edges without touching the top or bottom surface.

Solution 2: Try playing the disc on another Xbox console

Playing the disc on another console will help you figure out whether the problem is with the individual disc or the console's disc drive.

Please let me know the results once you have tried playing it on a different console.

are you even listening? we have two copys in the house and neither of them play on my xbox. but they both work on the other 2 consoles in my house. im not the only person with this problem. search in the forums (resident evil 2 disc wont load)

That link IS from Capcom's site... anyway here is what it says:

If you are experiencing an error message when attempting to update Resident Evil 4 on Xbox One, please completely uninstall and reinstall the game.

then

If you still experience issues after reinstalling the game, and have a physical disc version, please completely uninstall the Resident Evil 4 installation, keep the disc inside your Xbox One, launch the Xbox Store and download Resident Evil 4 directly
from the Xbox Store.

Resident Evil 2 is the best in my opinion. I thought it was really clever how they split the story across two discs.

I invested in a 500$ Xbox that is supposed to do all that. I shouldn’t have to buy a standalone player when my Xbox is being advertised as such. if I didn’t want a disc drive I would of gotten a digital only console. And it only plays certain Xbox one games and older ones as well which Is bs. It wouldn’t load street fighter anniversary But it loaded doom it wouldn’t load resident evil 2 but it loaded battlefield 2 lol. All of my discs are pristine the series x disc drive has just been bricked by Microsoft to force people to digital
