    My son bought Call of Duty: Modern Warfare without my permission, I found out after going through my bank statements. As soon as i did, i tried to get a refund which was then denied because the game was played. It hasn't been played apart from the new
    free-to-play game mode (BattleRoyale). I've sent an email to appeal to the decision but don't expect them to help. Ive know many friends who even though they played the game were able to get a refund so I don't see why in my case that has a genuine cause is
    getting denied. What can I do?

    Hiya!!

    I can understand your frustration in this matter. Unfortunately refund requests are a case by case basis and there are a lot of factors to go into determining your eligibility. If the game has been played at all, how long from the time of purchase to the
    time of request, were safeguards in place to prevent unauthorized purchases. Sadly, all 3 could have been the determining factor. If you have a child or anyone that has access to the XBOX, be sure the password safeguard is implemented to prevent anyone from
    making purchases without your consent.

    Hello! I'm sorry to hear that however there is no way to get a refund because the game was downloaded and used. Hopefully, Xbox will understand the problem with children buying games and add ons without their parent's permission better in the future and
    offer a refund but they urge you to set parental controls and enable permission from a parent to buy something. It may be helpful if you change your password on your Microsoft account too in case your child knows it. https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/Family-Online-Safety/passkey-guest-key/passkey-purchases
