My rank in freeze, can't up my ranks with victorys, only down

Win and rank up, lose and rank down. Beat better players (higher rank than you) and rank up a bit faster OR lose to lower ranked people than you and youll rank down faster.

@CtrlAltDenied it scales, but only +/-... I can't remember but I think 6? After that there is no further risk to the higher ranked player and obviously the lower ranked player has a harder and harder time.

Whether you lose one point or six is irrelevant if you bump up a rank and face a handful of higher ranked players. You're still going to go straight back down again. Add rage quitter to that, who back at the point I gave up on ranked were robbing about a
third of my wins off me every session, and its a pointless waste of time.

Rank is not a realistic indicator of anything precisely because the system is so broken. If you only ever faced people +/- 6 of your rank it would be fair and weighted.

And those 5s who demolished you were probably 30-40s using an alt account because they were in jail. Very common these days.

MOTD has screwed my rank all up. I go down in that map a lot more than any other. The first time I got to a decent round (above 15) we ended up dying. My rank went from knife with 4 slashes to shield with blue eyes. I have since given up on ranking up at
all.

Tactics = Activate Tactical Cloak, give a target the cold shoulder (Snap Freeze) while equipped with my Phalanx X, switch to my Disciple X and then say “Hasta la vista baby” (Arnolds line in “Terminator 2: Judgement Day”) as the ice shards explode everywhere.

It's team based, so you rank up and down depending on how your team as a whole does against the other team. You'll rank up more if you win against a better team, you'll rank up less if you win against a lesser team, you'll rank down less if you
lose against a better team, and you'll rank down more if you lose against a lesser team....in a nutshell.

My reply is specifically in regards to League Play. Pub Matchmaking uses a different algorithm.
