    My question for Xbox Support.

I purchased an Xbox One in the first place. But when Playstation 4 started playing games in higher resolution I purchased a Playstation 4. So now I have both consoles. I can tell you now from personal experience that Playstation 4 games look much better
than Xbox one. Its a fact. Whatever upscales the picture on Xbox One to 1080p makes games look worse( too much gamma/ contrast). I understand that developers are awaiting a new SDK coming up soon. I'm hoping in March. My question is will the new SDK, and
power of the cloud( whatever the power of the cloud is?) be able to at least match the quality of the Playstation 4. I know about the ESRAM, and have read what the developers have been saying. I need to know if Xbox One will be able to play 1080P 60 frames
per second like they said it would at the reveal, and Please don't say Forza. That is one or two games out of 10. If the Xbox one is not going to have the matching quality as the Playststion 4 I will want to sell my Xbox one now so I can hopefully get what
I paid for it. I'm asking this question because I like Xbox One, and I want this situation to be resolved. But if nothing is fixed, and the games stay at the same lacking resolution, and framerate then I will have no choice but to sell the Xbox One. I don't
need a 500 dollar paperweight. I bought this system for games, not voice command. I like multimedia options. But not at the expense of the quality resolution, and framerate.

    :)

    Question for support....

This is not a support issue. And the Support agents do not work on the software updates for the console. You should try asking Major Nelson on twitter about this sort of thing.

  4. My question for Xbox Support.

hard to read but i belive the sdk is coming and yes according to game makers it will produce the 1080p no problem.and match the ps4.

“[Microsoft] are releasing a new SDK that’s much faster and we will be comfortably running at 1080p on Xbox One. We were worried six months ago and we are not anymore, it’s got better and they are quite comparable machines.”

  5. I hope neither consoles maintains 1080p/60 fps. If they do, they really are not pushing the hardware to it's limits which means games are not going forward. Out of the gate, the PS4 is releasing more 1080p games at higher fps.
They are far from locked at 60 though. Cloud compute is a very cool thing, but from what I can see it is in it's infancy and will take time to use to its fullest.

If you bought your Xbox One for the games like you stated, you won't be able to play Ryse, Forza, Halo, Gears, Titanfall, or any of the Xbox exclusives on the PS4. Same is true about playing PS4 exclusives on your Xbox. You already
have both consoles and are free to play any of the great games coming out. I'm not sure why you would want to sell either system. There has never been anything wrong with owning multiple consoles.

  6. OP,

I don't know what you have your systems hooked up to, but i have both consoles connected to a Sony XBR55X900A Ultra Hd, and I can not tell the difference. I guess I need to go the the eye doctor, because they both look the same to me.

They are not the same, and I'm sick of hearing people say they are the same. Because 720P and 1080P are not even close to the same.

    My question for Xbox Support.

Why don't you go to any Tech website, and read about the difference between 1080P and 720P. Then come back here and say they are the same smart guy. Time to see the Doctor CraftNut?

  9. Now, SnowOwl3, that's no way to behave. Just because he can't tell the difference doesn't mean you should jump on him like that. The same goes for you, Craftnut - the both of you need to be careful with how you post. It can easily be taken out of context
& get you both in trouble with the moderators.

Both consoles are in their infant stages; as they grow older, they'll get better - just be patient & you'll see.

No need to threaten on here Galactic Geek. Its beneath you ok pal. Now If you understand about the ESRAM you would know that developers are upset in general with the XBOX One's software kit for developing games. That is what this whole thread is about.
If the new SDK will work. If the games in the future will be at least as good as the Playstation 4. I'm asking if it will be able to hit the right quality resolution, and framerate. Or else I will either be returning my Xbox One, or just buying all my Multiplatform
games on Playstation 4 only. Microsoft will lose lots of money if they're games are lacking in comparison to another system. I won't buy lower quality games. WILL YOU?

  11. From the sound of it, you might as well just sell it now, so you don't wait and get less money.

  13. My question for Xbox Support.

First to OP, this is NOT the Support section of the forums!

People need to realize that Microsoft isn't pushing developers to meet a 1080p resolution for the first wave of titles. The eSRAM would be and is making developing for the Xbox One a little more difficult than its competition. I'm certain that Microsoft
understands this and allowing developers to learn how to utilize this small pool of super fast RAM, efficiently.

I'd like to SEVERELY INSULT the OP for this statement though.

"But if nothing is fixed, and the games stay at the same lacking resolution, and framerate then I will have no choice but to sell the Xbox One. I don't need a 500 dollar paperweight."

Because Microsoft doesn't force developers to inefficiently push their hardware out the gate like the competition, I didn't know 900p 60fps was a "paper weight". But instead, I'll tell the OP to grow up and leave it at that!

Both next-gen consoles are capable of doing their jobs, playing video games. The Xbox One is a full all-in-one home entertainment system and is well worth it's $500 price tag. Xbox LIVE, while lacking some features on the Xbox One, is still a SIGNIFICANTLY
much better service than ANY of its competition. And that lack of features is nothing more than software that can easily be added back through updates.

Lastly OP, calm down. If you don't like the Xbox One, that is your problem. Don't insult me though!

  14. If graphics are that important to you, I would recommend PC gaming. Neither console holds a candle to the resolution available with a decent GPU in your PC. As for native vs upscaled 1080p games on my 60" plasma, I'm not really
seeing that big of a difference from 15 feet, but I am getting old. Sometimes your eyes see what they want to see.
