When ever I'm playing on my Xbox one my profile appears offline even when the "appear offline" feature isn't in use. None of my friends ever know if I'm online or not. Please fix it Microsoft

Friends "offline" glitch

A certain few of my friends always appear offline. Even when they are in a party talking to me (which would clearly mean that they would be in line) their profile card still appears as offline. I have them as a favorite and I have other friends that appear
online and offline correctly but a few of them just stay stuck as offline.

It's likely Spinnerz's issue has been resolved since this post is 3 months old. Let's have you try to remove your profile and then re-add it to the console to see if that helps.

No, I realise that. It's just when I'm online, my friends look at my profile and it says offline, even though I'm set to appear online.

You may be appearing offline.

Go to "Friends" then go down to "My Profile". Once there, click "Appear offline" and change it to "Appear online".

I also starting noticing this on my account a few days ago. Several people on my friends list are now showing as "offline" even if they are on, not hiding offline or have been on recently. I signed onto another live profile on my same xbox and I was appearing
offline to the other account even though all my settings are open and i was not appearing offline.

As suggested I cleared my systems cache and also signed out/back in and it's not fixed.

Does your friend appear offline? The appear offline feature will still increase in day count if they play while appearing offline. If he is not appearing offline, sometimes (very seldom) will the friends list show people with a wrong status, but when
it does it usually updates within a few hours when this issue occurs.
