My Problem List. Worst Problem, Notifications VERY delayed!

I purchased a day one edition back in Nov. I love the console, however there are some quirks/bugs that I have been living with. Any luck with any of the following?

- My notifications are SUPER delayed. Achievements sometimes never pop up. I get notifications on my phone about friends signing on and messages about 3 to 4 minutes before it shows up on the console.

- Chat parties will randomly disconnect, and I don’t get any notification that I have left, or everyone else has left the party

- From time to time my Kinect will simply not sure on, it claims it’s not plugged in?

- From time to time when I try to play a game it will start to load, then minimize back to the dashboard. Sometimes this happens two or three times before working

- When I play Titanfall (might happen with other games, I don’t know) Friends will receive game invites to play only half the time. Seriously, only about half of the game invites sent are received.

- My console starts to listen when I say the phrase “This Sucks”, in fact it responds more frequently to “This Sucks” then “Xbox…”

- My friends feed is miserably slow, and several hours behind, most of the time.

- I have the headset adapter it might be the problem, but sometimes my friends will not hear anything coming out of my mic, however there is an icon in the party that my mic is plugged in.

Notifications Delayed

I have had this problem from day 1 as well. Any notification that pops up are very delayed (Usually a few mins) I tried the Hard Reset and it didn't fix anything. I really hope they look into this frustrating problem.

 

Why is my home screen laggy? Really frustrating

Every time I am connected online my home screen and notifications are VERY, VERY, laggy. When I am offline however, the problem doesn't seem to happen. The best way I can describe this "legginess" is just that everything is delayed when I move around the
home screen, words take a few moments to fully fade in and achievement notifications just are slow, slower than they should be. Please help if you can, it's becoming very annoying to deal with.

 

Btw, power cycling has not fixed any issues. Deleting gamer tag and recovering has not resolved any issues.

Have these issues developed over time after system updates or most of them been from day one when you first powered up the system?

With all the issues, I would recommend resetting the system back to factory setting. I know this back be a pain in the backside having to download/install all you games, but its definitely the next thing I would try again power cycle/cache clearing.

 

That is a great suggestion, and I will try it. The chat issues/friends feed/kinect stuff are new within the last two months. The notifications problem has been since day one.

 

Anyone have any other suggestions?

 

Honestly, given the issues that surround the Day One edition console, I'd save yourself a world of hassle and get it replaced.

A lot of what you're describing can typically be fixed with some trouble shooting, but I have a feeling that as the days have dragged on, the symptoms have gotten worse. I had a lot of similar issues with mine, that all ended up culminating in me getting
it replaced. Primarily I had the bad ODD on mine that sounded like I put my disc in a wood chipper, but I ran into a lot of similar issues with the OS.

A factory reset will probably clear up most, if not all, of your issues, but what I'm concerned with is the long haul, will the issues come back. It's up to you, but remember your warranty is only good for a year, unless you extended it.
