Backgrounds and and transparent tiles not working.

This happened a long time ago, I one day turned on my Xbox One and logged in and my wallpaper was gone and the tiles were fully solid.

If I go in settings it shows as I have a background set and the tiles are set to mostly transparent. Reseting it to solid tiles and removing the background image doesn't fix it when i set everything back.

Me too. White screen when trying to get on solitaire.

I found this post from someone else -

First go to "settings" (the settings on your main computer not solitaire game settings) and select "apps"

under "apps and features" find the Microsoft Solitaire Collection app and click on it

you will see "Advanced Options" in blue, click on that link

you will then see the "Reset" and click on it.

When you first go back to the game it will ask something about using this PC previously, just select yes

I didn't lose any information on previous games...

    It worked for me.

Thanks again to whoever posted this answer.

A solution can be found here (relevant parts included for your convenience): Personalize Your Color, Background & Theme | Xbox One

Adjusting the tile transparency allows you to better view your custom background through the tiles on the screen. To adjust this:

    1. Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Select AllSettings.
    4. In the Nav pane, select Personalisation, and then in the right pane, select My colour & background.
    5. Select Tile transparency on the My colour & background page.
Choose the transparency value that you prefer (Solid, Mostly solid, Partly transparent or Mostly transparent).

Custom backgrounds and tile transparency – We’ve added tile transparency to the Home tiles to make your background images more visible. As a reminder, to set a custom background, go to Settings > My Xbox > My
    background
. Note: some items can’t be made transparent due to usage rights/restrictions for certain images.

I'm having the same issue and reported it along with a screenshot. The recently used games and apps are still solid even after selecting mostly transparent in the options menu. All other tiles prior to the latest update are transparent

As it's related to an update, I would suggest reporting your concerns through the Xbox Feedback app on Xbox One, or through the website (Xbox Ideas, powered by UserVoice) and let Microsoft know that this
is a feature you would like to see brought back/fixed. Microsoft really do listen to user feedback - most of the changelogs make reference to at least one feature requested by users.
