My preference always 4k hdr, but clips recorded in 1080, can you fix this?

It works in 1080, just not 4K anymore. The settings say you cannot record longer than 30 second clips at a time in 4K so idk.

Are you recording them in 4K? Have you tried switching your resolution settings for the game clip to 1080p or 720p? Switching to 1080 or 720 for a few recordings and then switching back to 4k has seemed to work for some in the past.

At release version is now possible to record long clips...but only at 30fps... both 1080 and 4k clips are now at 30fps... getting worst every day...

I hope it gets fixed soon. Everything was working perfectly a couple of months ago.

I found a few things as far as capturing goes:

Clip resolution is fixed at 4K HDR for certain games on Xbox One X—even if you’ve selected a lower default resolution.

At 4K HDR, game clips can be up to 30 seconds when capturing to your console’s internal storage.

To allow longer clips for the game you’re playing now, or to record at lower resolution, turn off HDR in Settings > Display & sound > Video output > Advanced
video settings.

Another way to record longer clips is to capture to external storage. Press the Xbox button to open to guide, then go to Settings > Preferences > Broadcast
& capture > Capture location. Depending on available storage, external clips can be as long as 60 minutes.

Not sure if this was the exact answer you were looking for but I'm still researching any possible solutions.

Have you tried going to Settings > Preferences > Capture & Share ?

There is a option there to select how long you want to record your clips... ranging from 5 seconds all the way up to 5 minutes. It's pretty awesome, actually.

I think 30 seconds got defaulted so it wouldn't fill up your drive with long clips.

As the resolution is set to 4K HDR, the only options available are for 15 or 30 second clips.

However, my point is that it is currently set to record for 30 seconds, but the clips it records are showing as 22 seconds long on my dashboard, but in reality when you view them, they are all actually 1-2 seconds long.
