my pc reboots when i play on xbox controller

Hello Fábio, what would be your system, Win 10 or 11?

Can you tell if it is updated to the latest version of Windows, 22H2?

Are you connecting the Xbox controller via a USB cable or Bluetooth, if using a cable, have you tried changing the USB cable?

Have you tried any procedures on the PC or on the controller, if so, which ones?

My Xbox One controller which is connected via Bluetooth is sometimes unresponsive in Forza Horizon 4 but opens the Xbox on Windows menu when I press the Xbox button. I have tried rebooting my PC and made sure all my drivers are up to date.
I have also troubleshooted the Bluetooth on my PC and updated the controller.

I would never use bluetooth controllers I was on forza today it works for me maybe it's your controller

I thought I made a little progress. I uninstalled my Qualcom Bluetooth drivers and installed the "Generic Microsoft Bluetooth Driver."

When I rebooted the controller was on and it automatically connected. It opened the Xbox App to test the buttons, but none of them worked. They did not work in the "Set up USB Controllers" screen either. So I turned the device off, removed the device
and rebooted. Now when I "Add Device" the PC says the controller is connected. The controller keeps blinking. The status of the device in my Bluetooth settings rapidly switches between "paired" and "connected".

Been using playstation DS4 controller for years, never had this specific problem with them.

Then it could be a faulty controller, but without testing your controller on another PC, there is no way of knowing.

A Working Xbox One controller does not need to be BT re-synced when the PC is turned off or rebooted, mine doesn't. I do have to reconnect if I had previously connected via USB for charging or in the rare occasion I connect it to my Xbox console.

Yes it is possible I know this from first hand experience I have a wired xbox 360 controller and use it to play ALL of my games on my PC including when streaming my xbox One to my PC I can still play the Xbox One games. It is also plug and play so the
PC should automatically recognize the controller and it acts (uses the same controller configurations) as if you were playing on the Xbox one.
